    I have to agree, the only difference from last time is that now America doesnt have the manufacturing power it did at that time. Back then, everything was made in America. Now, we get everything from China, Japan, etc. I have to say, i am really worried.....

      Dang! You guys are paying just as high as California gas prices. The only difference is that we have no lines or shortages here.

      The lowest price I can find on 87 octane is $2.99, but it's bound to increase again.

      If this keeps up, I'm going to have to cut down on my weekend driving. I can't cut down on my weekday driving because my workplace is so far, and public transportation is a joke.

        The timeline went like this here

        Sunday- $2.49
        Monday- $2.59
        Tuesday $2.54
        Weds $2.99
        Thurs $3.19

          i have to drive a 75 mile commute to school everyday and gas here now is right around 3.39. and if i have work. add another 10 miles.. :( :( :(

                We can all thank the hippies that there hasn't been a single refinery built in the US in the last 30 years. And yet they blame this whole thing on Bush. :rolleyes:

                    Yeah, I drive alot back and forth to work. My girl too. If gas gets close to $4.00 it will take 3 weeks pays from one of us every month just for gas

                      I seen a $3.49 earlier, for regular, not sure if it was gouging, but that was still steep as hell.
