• i cant stop spending money on my car

its like a bad habit. ive bought like 1,700 dollars worth of stuff for my car in the last 2-3 weeks alone (amp, headunit, wires, plugs, headers, shocks and springs).

i just see the buy now buttons or the pay now buttons and my eyes get big and i look out the window at my car and smile as i click the button.

im poor but my car is enjoying it. anyone else do this too?

yea, well i NEED to do that. school for me is pretty cheap right now, its a community college, and im still living at home so i dont have rent or food to worry about. gas kills me since my school is a 45 minute commute. i guess im trying to justify spending money by telling myself its summer. once school starts ill have to stop this shopping spree for my car. and then when i go to a real school ill have real tuition to pay.

this is my list of stuff ive bought:

- 05 kenwood HU - $212 (ebay)
- ceramic coated pacesetter headers - $313 (ftpp)
- NGK IX Iridium plugs - $42 (ftpp)
- MSD wires - $58 (ftpp)
- Eibach prokit - $210 (ebay)
- Blistein HD Shocks - $305 (ebay)
- 05 MTX Thunder 5601 amp - $320 (ebay)
- c6 corvette poster - $13 (ebay)

etc. etc. and these prices dont include shipping... :(

oh well, i plan on keeping my car forever, so i figure its all worth it.

jesus you guys should consider savign some money for some stuff...

the only money I really blow rediculously towards my car is racing it. Not uncommon for me to blow $85-100 in a month just on entrance fees to go race, not including gas driving all over the state, and food, etc...

everything else for the most part I pay attention to what I am spending unless its a upgrade under $10.

improvements on a house aren't so bad they generally jack up the value of the house

mods on a car generally lower its value.

that and.. a car loses its value over time, a house gains value over time.

wifes says I spend too much on car, but w/all the deals I get each time I swap an engine, I've actually made money back. go figure. Third swap should net me $250 or so initial , ask Nachius, and then there's all the extra parts to sell off. ka-ching $$$$$$$ :D

I really do not spend too much on my car. All I have done to it is cat and catback exhaust and whisper lid with K&N filter. Some apperance mods. My parents got me a tranny cooler for my birthday. Now I just spend money on it keeping every thing tuned and maintained.
