ok I had the alt-ctrl-delete button screen up and I hit the wrong button and now the screen has no buttons to click so I can get out of it. How do I get it back to normal? if I described this really bad then tell me how to do the screen capture thing for windows XP and I can show you.

Well I wouldn't know what you are talking about, and probably wont even know with a picture, but to capture a screenshot, hit the print screen button, and then just go into Paint or any photo program and paste it into that.2000 Red Firebird W68Comment

Oh, sorry... Open up the Paint program, Start-> Programs -> Accesories -> Paint. And then once that opens, click edit, and in that dropdown box should be the paste option, then save it.2000 Red Firebird W68Comment

all you did is you terminated explorer. if you hit ctrl + alt + del again and pull up the tesk manager you can clcik "File" => "New Task (Run...)" Then when the dialog box appears type in "explorer". clikc ok or press enter and windows is back up and running.
btw... you can just restart too. you didnt damage anyhting perminently (sp).Comment

still try my 1st suggestion, it might still work. Explorer is the main shell of windows that contains all of the icons/so on that you are saying is missingComment
