Anyone else working like a dog this summer?

I'm basically getting paid slave wages to work as a computer tech for the university library, but I only work about 40 hrs a week.

Im working 30+ hours a week pusing carts and bagging groceries. It's such a *****, especially in the 110 degree arizona heat. BUT...not too many jobs for a 16 year old kid to do.

I would rather be in 100 degree arizona heat than 90 degree NC humidity. Luckily it doesn't get that hot up here in the mountains.

I would love to see what an electric bill is for cooling a 500,000 sq ft. warehouse. Only warehouse I ever been at that had "cooling" was Atlas. Every day, inside temps were 35*.

i work anywhere between 70 and 90 hours a week. 2 jobs and side work are fun.

ive got more sidework lined up this summer than I could possibly get done. small $30k addition under construction now, starting documents for $50k addition tomarrow and Im waiting on a contract with a co-worker to start a $1.2million dollar house together.

What do you do to be able to put in almost 88 hrs per week.....

I have put in 114 in one week and i thought it was going to kill me. Talk about walking zombie. This was turning a wrench (very big one at that) for a living.

Even 80 hrs a week of physical labor will put you in an early grave. Ouch.

Hockey man I feel for ya...... two years ago I was on 6 12's for a tad over 6 months....

Did this for 2 years in Highschool. Only tough people can last at that job for long, especially at a big store where u have to cover a lot of ground. Even worse, managers take you for granted and your not allowed tips. Hang in there :cool:

WOW! I don't feel so bad now. Looks like I'm not the only one with a crap-load of hours this year. I'm at work right now inside HQ (ahhh, air conditioned!), but I'll be hitting the streets in about 2 hours.

I absolutely hated getting carts during the summer, but I loved it during the winter [img]smile.gif[/img] What store do you work for? I work in the home dept. of a frys marketplace.
