I voted for the LS1, simply because it has much more potential than the VR-4, which is nearly maxed out (TT) stock to match the LS1 N/A. I voted for the LS1 instead of the LT1 because the LT1 is an older car, and I like the LS1 body styles better.

LS1s are excellent engines. Even with high miles they can be very reliable. My friend has an LS1 with over 100K miles. It runs great and with a few bolt-ons he is running as fast as vettes. Also, when the LS1 eventually breaks down I could rebuild it. Of course, that means H/C/P.

Yeah, it is expensive to fix when it breaks.
Yea my car had too many problems for a turbo, so now im lookin at new cars, ive even considered a dsm GSX only of course, NO FWD!!!!!!!!

I picked LS1. For a college guy, I'd say a 3000GT is pretty expensive, not as reliable, and have a, IMO, a cheaper looking interior than the Camaro. Plus, with the LT1, don't forget about the Optispark. Those things like to crap out from what I've been told. LS1 is just an awesome engine. And you can pick up a 98+ z28 pretty cheap now

I say get something else altogether. None of those are a smart choice for a college student.
I know you won't listen to me now, but in retrospect, you will realize the same thing.
Put that money into something better. Like a place to live, or something that doesn't lose value.
Buy a better car when you are out of college and get a good job.

Great advice. I've finally realized this and am now searching for a cheapo Honda Civic to drive when I'm not in college. When I get out, I'll buy a kick *** ride. I don't drive 9 months out of the year, so having a sweet whip is useless.

However, if I had tons of cash I'd get the VR-4 (cause I could fix it whenever it needed fixed). Something about twin turbos, AWD, and 4 wheel steering :D

I definately vote for the VR4. I used to have a '97 and absolutely loved it. The black leather interior and the gauges looked so great. They are rare cars and I got so many compliments on it and numerous conversations about it. I loved the look on the V8 drivers faces I raced when I would blow right by them. I never had a problem with it, but it was probably because it had low miles.

I went with LT1.

Cheapest out of the bunch to repair
Aftermarket is HUGE
Lower insurance than the others

There is three models of the stealth.

the Stealh ES which is a piece of sh*t and wieghs alot and has no balls.

the stealth r/t which is nice and wieghs about 3000 pounds also makes 230 horsepower.

the stealth TT r/t which is the one you really want to get!

In the end, the LS1 or LT1 are a better choice.
