**** the DMV

i had my license taken twice for doing things that i no longer do..it is the DMV..trust me..points and violations are simply fed into their computer and when they sense too many points in an 18 month period..the suspension is 31 days (6 month revocation for 3 speeds in 18 months)..you just get an automated letter in the mail..however..if they choose to suspend it longer than 31 days they can..its up to the commissioner of DMV..my advice is to get a lawyer and your doctor, request a hearing, and try to get at LEAST a conditional license (enables you to drive to work, school, or medical appointments)..im not sure it is a medical thing though..they probably just know the approximate speed you were doing when you crashed..and are basing their judgement on that

I hate to be the only one to say it, but if you have some medical condition that that causes there to be the slightest chance you'd be a danger on the road, weither or not doctors think they have it under control, i'd rather the DMV side on caution. sorry.

Not taking that chance, stay off the road. If you have some condition that would make you black out, pass out, go into seizures, convulsions, or something of that nature, I suggest taking a bus. Just face it, you are an unfortunate person who probably shouldn't be driving. Live with it.

Wow, to all you people who say that if there is a chance that he could be a danger to society, than he shouldn't be on the road anyways, I wish I could [img]graemlins/slap.gif[/img] you all. So let me get this straight.

Lets get all the old people off the road

And if you agree to the 16-25 year old one, then here's my rebuttle to save time...

So at age 25, you can actually start driving on the road? You'll still ahve the experience of a 16 year old. And don't get started on the influence of friends, because 21+ also has influence of alcohol.

I just think it's hypocritical for you to say that anyone who could be a danger to society shouldn't be driving. Because EVERYONE is a danger to society nowadays while on the road.

the other 3 you listed can be fixed w/ better training and tests, but if you have somthing about you you cant change that makes there be even the slightest chance that you could be a danger, then yes, i belive you shouldnt be allowed to drive.
