Don't forget...LS1's have other "catches" to them. One being premium gas. You don't have to fill it with premium, but have fun with your retarded timing if you don't. Also, LS1's like oil fill-ups, along with some having an oil drinking problem. Most likely you want to give your LS1 a synthetic oil as well, which is pricey. Along with those, most likely you won't be babying the car, so expect more wear and tear on the beast.

Just things to take into consideration. I sometimes wished I didn't rush into buying this car, but then again, it's a lot of damn fun. I bought my LS1 right after I turned 20 and it's a handful. Be sure you have the funds because that mod bug WILL bite.

I would go for it but your insurance is going to go up. If your going to be finacing that car most if not all insurance comanies require full coverage on a car thats not fully paied for. But its your money so do what you want. I just say be prepaired for some high insurance.
