• 108k miles = bad

Well everything was fine with the car until it turned 108k miles not to long ago. No major problems except for one accident(wasnt my fault).

All of a sudden everything decides to break. I need new pads up front, trans mount, window motor went bad today, hatch decides it wants to rattle now, blew out a speaker, broke center councel latch. At least its nothing major or mechanical(knock on wood). Car was perfect before the 108k miles no rattles, squicks, problems, just paint started to chip on hatch.

Hopefully this isnt a sign to whats to come

Edit : Sorry for useless post just p*ssed off at car

      or 42,000

      all jokes aside...

in my experience with f-bodies, at around 100k, be prepared for some major stuff... Some may have no problems, some crap out earlier... but its a good timeframe to judge some problems coming up.

My 3.4L is about run into the ground. I need to get my 3.8L in there and quick. Right now I'm at about 143k on a totally original everything as far as the engine goes(except timing chain and gear, waterpump, and fan motor).

It has treated me pretty well, but that 3.8L needs to go in soon.

My 3.8L car has around 116,256 miles on it I think, but I had a new motor put in it about 4-5 months ago though..

My car's been ultra reliable except for a cylinder misfire which was fixed with new spark wires. I'm at 89000 and would like this car to last me about another year. I maintain it well so I'm not worried

IF the car was always well maintained it will last a long long time, but if you are an average maintained car with an auto, maybe expect the tranny to start slipping a little, also listen for the rear end if its making any noise.
