I'm starting to think this V6 Camaro was a huge mistake. I bought it 2 years ago for $7,000
60k miles
My jobs have been garbage these past years.
I still owe 5 grand on the car, and it runs like sh*t.
Car has 100k miles now.
I put 20k a year on it.
It might need a new engine, I hope I can sell it to get atmost 4k out of it... I know its not even worth 5 grand.
The interior is nice but has its small flaws like a cigarette burn.
The exterior is the same... still shines! But has some ugly flaws if you get picky.
ABS is gone.
I need an engine rebuild. I'm almost positive, the rings are f*cked!
I'm guessing its due to the time the oil pressure sender unit cracked and sprayed oil all over. I didn't notice until the car had no oil left and the light came on. It all happened to fast.
It probably caused a crap load of wear on the cylinder walls.
The transmission is doing well. Rear end is doing well.
This is just so sad....
Anyone have any suggestions?
Should I just make it look good and see if some dumbass buys it?
Or should I replace the engine, transmission, rear end with all Z-28 parts?
I'm going to have to blame myself as well as my parents on this one.
They showed me the car, I bought it.
Insurance screwed me out of thousands of dollars.
Atleast I'm not in that big of a hole...
My friend's eclipse has had $3500 in repairs to the drivetrain and misc. parts.
And the new turbo and piping because his old one took a crap.
Not including his new bumper and fenders from the accident.
And a new tierod.
And not including the connecting rod he just bent last week.
Thats going to be about $5500-$6000 in parts and labor and his car is no faster than it was when he bought it.
I feel bad for him, but he has a job that kicks my jobs *** in the income area. :(
Well, im sure one of you guys have been in this situation..
BTW I do have an FFF kit, I could sell it on ebay or something.
Or i could save it for a rainy day.
Damn these choices...
