• LS7 rated at over 500 HP

Detroit - General Motors has become the first manufacturer to certify its horsepower and torque rating using the new Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) test procedure J2723. The 7.0L LS7 engine for the 2006 Corvette Z06 is the first to be certified under the new test procedure at 505 horsepower @ 6300 rpm and 470 lb-ft @ 4800 rpm.

Well, I definitely wouldn't get it as a daily. ;)

But, I mean, with that kind of displacement, imagine the modding potential.

The LS7 gets such good mileage it does not have to pay the gas guzzler tax.

11.4 stock with somebody who knows how to ride
It is a lot harder to drive a bike to its capability than a car with a 6 spd
But yeah, best bang for the buck is definately a bike.

Same goes for a 6speed driver... not everyone can shift through those gates as fast as they should... I think it's easier to pull my toe up 6 times than to find 3rd and not 6th in the gate

Plus if you slam the gas in 2nd gear you can wheelie over.. and 3rd.. and maybe 4th LOL

You can't deny bikes are a lot more difficult to operate than cars

Well, you can bike all you want, but I think a 7.0L monster V8 is rocking. :D

500 HP is modest for that kind of displacement. The modding potential is going to be awesome. I wonder how similar the LS7 will be to the LS2, or even the LS1...

I will not deny bikes take more skill and attention to operate than cars. Hell, any moron can put a car in D and push a gas pedal, but a rider has to watch out for those morons and everything else

Hmmmm... wheelies. You have been watching too many stunter videos. Real racers keep the wheels on the ground. They shift body weight over the nose of the bike to keep it down while pushing the throttle hard. There's a fine line with the line, yes.. but so is it with my V6. I can launch right, or spin the hell out of the 275/40x17's :D
