who likes/liked high school?

Im a junior and right now it doesn't feel like I am doing anything, like I am just going through the motions. I don't have time for much other than here and homework, I don't have a car, I don't have motive other than to get grades that I don't see a point for yet. I don't know where I am going and don't know what college I will attend or what I will study. I'm good at math but I don't think you can get a degree in it; if you can, what jobs are there out there in that field? I don't have a girlfriend right now and it seems like I am getting separated from some of my closest friends I've known for 5 years. I'm defidently not having a bad time here in high school but it seems like this is the only place I can vent anger and be myself and then I always get shot down for it. But yeah summer can't come sooner I can see the swimming pools and sleeping more than 5 hours already.

so anyways, who enjoyed high school and who couldn't wait for it to be over? what high school did you go to? anything interesting you can add?

I hated MY highschool, I got along with everyone and had a good GPA, but I hung out with people from other high schools.

I'm a senior and only have a month left b4 graduation. [img]graemlins/banana.gif[/img] i'm excited but sad at the same time. as much as i say i can't wait to get out of hs, i really don't want it to be over yet. i'm staying in town an going to ucsc in the fall but a lot of my friends are going out of town for college and it's going to be weird not seeing them everyday. oh well such is the circle of life....BTW mike, a math degree can get you into lots of differant types of professions, but if your that good at math i would think your better off going after an electrical engineering degree....big $$$ and highly sought after.....good luck

Actually you can, I graduate in may with a degree in applied mathematics. And there's actually PLENTY of jobs in the field. Everyone needs math people, I've had no problem getting job interviews but I'm probably going to go to grad school instead. Had an interview last month delevoping algorithms for missle guidance systems, that was the coolest one. You can get a job doing all sorts of analysis, programming, engineering, and if you're into money check out being an insurance actuary, they pull down cash similar to doctors and lawyers with only a 4 year degree. Oh, and I liked hs :D

I liked highschool... I was a socialble guy I had friends in most every "group" of people. From jocks, to goths, to skaters, to burnouts, whatever.

It was great, school during the week, get trashed on the weekend. Dicking around in cars, having a car budget.

And life was so much easier, no worries about "responsibilities" other then doing homework which is nothing in highschool.

I breezed through school up until junior year of high school. Up until that point most decisions are made for you, what school you go to, what classes you take, etc. All of a sudden that's when I realized the end is near, and there is so many options on careers to chose, and colleges to attend.
I couldn't wait to get out of high school though. But now that I've been out for 4 years, I find myself looking back on high school and remembering some of the best times of my life. Fortunatly most of my close friends from high school stayed around here, so not much has really changed.

I never liked High School either. I wasn't popular or anything and I didn't have that many friends either. I was quite shy by nature.

I wanted to be in a wrestling team so I could hang with the guys. But my parents pulled me out when they found out how many were getting hurt.

I love after school activity though. I would straight to the gym and just workout. I would workout and make friends with guys who were twice my age. It was cool.

Math huh. Lots you could do with that. Alot of school are in dire need of a Math teacher. You can be an accountant or in finance.

Im a junior in high school. Its a blast for me. I have a **** load of friends. Porbably because i can get along with anyone. I have a pretty easy semester. Havnt had homework all semester. Therefore i just got my first job at FOOD LION. My first day is today. 20 hours a week 7 dollars an hour. Camaro is getting hooked up.

I do know what you mean tho. Im stressing not having a girlfriend also man. Like all the girls i hit on end up saying im like a best friend... It sucks bad. Ive narrowed my choices down to being a computer database administrator or a Engineer of some sort. Im stressing college also man. Its hard making 1 big life decision and i have 1 year to do it. Also my GPA is a 3.059. Im worried about that not being high enough to get me into a good school. Of course i have honors classes under that and AP classes next year.

I liked it pretty much. No real problems except when the bleachers collapsed w/half of my class on them. I probably should've taken an automotive vo-tech crse my senior yr, but I seem to have done good w/o it.

Are you KIDDING me?! I had a BLAST in high school!

I was commander of our armed drill team, I got my private pilot's license through my school, and senior year - I was drunk every weekend!

I also somehow came through with a 4.3 GPA and a full scholarship at the school I'm attending now.

High school was also where I had the most sex of my LIFE!! I musta had 7 or more different girls during my senior year alone...

I wouldn't mind going back at ALL.
