  • wow i hate my car

well ive had the Lt1 for 3 weeks... ive managed to drive it about 10 times. its been messed up bad. i had it ran on a diagnostic machine. the guy said that i have a cylinder not fireing. so i went and got my buddies. we tore down the entire top half of the Lt1. (which if you ever have isnt that hard really.) heres what we found...

1)all of the intake manifold bolts were so loose that we got them off with out a rachet or wrench!

2)all the pushrods were super loose.

3)the rocker arms werent adjusted right

    4) this is the most important one... i got ripped off!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyone who lives in ohio near dayton.. i warn you not to buy from Jeff Schmitt auto group. im gonna talk to a lawyer about this.

anyways the car should be back together tommorrow or saturday. hopefully.

Is this Jeff Schmitt fellow a dealership owner? Dealerships charge soooo much, I'd much rather buy from a car enthusiast, who I know changed the oil everything time, and who had everything fixed when it needed to be.

Hate to burst your bubble, but unless you have a warranty on it that they refuse to honor, good luck proving that the dealer knew the car was defective.

Maybe try new plugs and wires?

That definately sucks ***. It's your word against theirs. If the car ran fine when it left and you test drove it, then I doubt you have much of a case. Go raise some hell with them though. Threaten to call the attorney general and BBB. Maybe they'll let in and fix it for free.

44k miles.... on a 10 year old car. The car probably still has the original stock plugs, wires, ect.

my car is a fender bender away from being totalled. bought it for $4100, about 2k of work so far, and another 2-3K is needed to fix my new head gasket problem. i think ill just drive it until it dies then do that thing that the kids did with the pontiac sunbird, pop the hood put a block on the gas and let it go until it explodes.
