Some of the explosions look like they got "pasted" in there, but other than that it looks awesome.

damn. ps: dont even think about running the high res graphics unless you have a 64 bit with a gig of ram and the best graphics card on the market.

Wow. Simply amazing...this is great from what I have seen in my lifetime and most everyone's here. I remember the day my mom bought me Doom from wal-mart when I was in elementary school, and she had to use DOS commands to start it for me. --yep I'm one of those kids whose parents didn't give a rats *** about violent games and I'm just fine, so eat that one politically correct fanatics. :D

incase someone didnt notice, you should go to the main video archive pages:

              http://media.pc.ign.com/media/681/681912/vids_1.html
              http://media.pc.ign.com/media/681/681912/vids_2.html
notice that there are 4 gameplay videos. watch them in order, it is all one movie split into 4. it is better to watch them that way.

oh sh*t i just read this on a message board:

              Minium:
              1.7 Ghz
              1Gb RAM
128 MB VC w/ Pixel Shader 2.0 or higher

              Recommened:
              3.0 Ghz
              2Gb Ram
256 MB VC w/ Pixel Shader 2.0 or higher

              ****.

2 gigs of ram? holy crap. The processor and video card speeds dont suprise me, but jeez.. thats just plain irresponsible. I know alot of people who are gamers (w/ money) and most of them run 512 in dual channel. I know of 1 person who runs 2 gigs of ram.

minimum 1gb!! God! Go to hell! I just bought another stick of 512mb PC3200 Kingston hyper X to match...

                        1.7ghz...pfft. My P4 2.4Ghz C is enough of a choke point.

Wow, what a horribly designed game if it recommends 2GHZ of ram. I think they need to go back and render the graphics better. The CPU and Graphics card is nothing crazy. Similar to games now. What HL2 has going for it is nicely built engine that can be run with a "slow" computer. Plus it looks amazing.

Geez, I gotta start saving up some money to get more RAM..

I meet all the minimum system requirements.. but everyone knows playing on min requirements is no good.

For what the game requires, it'd better be godly.

Whether or not its a halo 2 or half life 2 killer depends on the physics of the game and how it feels. Doom 3 has awesome graphics, but felt a little odd on the controls to me, thus I found myself playing cod, cs, and unreal torunament rather than that.

Im looking forward to that new one that the marines are using, That one looks nice !
