I'm looking for a reciever that plays really loud (over 100 watts) and picks up AM & FM radio stations well for under $200. I'm not really into all the bells & whistles associated with home theaters & crap like that.
You won't find one that can do over 100 watts RMS. Most of the head units you will find put out between 25 and 50 watts RMS on 4 channels. If you want that many watts get a reciever with front and rear pre amp inputs and put an amp on your front speakers.
Ok well I take that back. I think that is close to what you want. JVC is a great brand but I would also reccomend Harmon/Kardon. I think they have a few in their product line that are around 200 dollars.
