Yes, I finally got a speeding ticket. I made it almost 7 years without one and finally got one last night. 72 in a 60. I can't be too mad, I've havn't driven the speed limit since 98, so I figure I had it comming Oh well, gonna make a few calls to lawyers in the morning, I figure first offense shouldn't be too hard to get off without a hike in insurance. Guess I gotta start driving slower though I can't afford alot of these.

I have gotten one speeding ticket in last 4 years, and it was thrown out, because I knew the judge.

Although I've been pulled over at least 6 or 7 times since then -- no tickets :D

</font>
4 times for me- and a VERY close call this weekend.
I'm driving down the freeway and I see headlights of an SUV in the rear view getting close.

I think ok, Ill go faster so he doesn't get pissed. I speed up another 20mph and he pulls up right next to me. I look over and it's a cop. Right now my heart sinks, and I'm starting to slow down because my exit is coming, and he slows down too. Right now my arms are shaking and I speed up and pull into the lane in front of him and turn off. He follows me through the exit onto the Frontage rd. and turns with me down the same street as well. I turn into the parking lot at Waffle House and circle around for a minute or so, then leave again. About a half mile down the road I pass a car on the side of the street I didn't even realize was him until I was 50 ft from him. Right now I'm scared ****less. I turn into the right lane to turn off again but my friend tells me to turn left instead. So I go back into the left lane and he follows of course. Now I'm doing about 35 in a 45. I turn left at the next light and he keeps going, maybe expecting me to get back on the road again. Instead we take the back roads to our friends house we were going to He was just ITCHING to see me speeding again or racing. That or just enjoyed scaring me. Aren't there laws against cops stalking people?

I actually got pulled over friday night. Speed limit 65mph, 2am, on I-64 somewhere inbetween lexington, ky and grayson, ky. I was coming up behind a red miata (he was speeding too 75ish) Well I was doing 85ish, get to top of hill, looking for cops. Don't see any, oh **** there's one. BRAKES,.....65. So he was sitting in the median no lights on, and behind one of those concrete pillars for a road going over the interstate.

Anyways, he pulls up passes me. I'm thinking he is going to pull over the miata, nope slows back down, falls in behind me, then hits his lights. I pull over, have license in hand before he gets to my window.

"License" he says. I hand it to him.
Looks at it, shines light in my eyes. "where are you coming from"
me "henderson, ky"
cop "do you know why i stopped you?"
me "uh,..I think, I was speeding"
cop says "84 in a 65, just a bit, you also have a right rear parking light out" I knew this
me "oh really" &lt;--with genuine sencerity.
cop says "well slow down and get the light fixed" hands me my license
me "ok, thank you officer" :D

I've only been pulled over once in my life for speeding and that time it was only a verbal warning.

Let's see, last ticket was in '99, 75 in a 55 (BS, my cruise control was set to 70!) LOL. Didn't fight it, paid the ticket and went to traffic school, wallet was over $300 lighter.

Same here. Almost 80 in a 45...

Was a SWAT guy on a motorcycle and I was pulled over next to a fire station...

He was explaining how if I were to get into an accident they may have to come out and put me into a body bag. Scared the **** out of me. I don't speed that much anymore.

I got pulled over literally a block away from my house. He was sitting on the other side of a corner that you can't see around on a back road, and I was doing about 35 in a 25. There were two others in front of me, but I was the only one pulled over. The officer was a nice guy. Let me off with a written warning and a nice little lecture. Unfortunately, I was on display for everyone in my neighborhood when I got pulled over. Talk about embarassing...
