Dale Earnhardt Jr. got 3rd, I thought he was going to do it. It really sucked when he made his move out around Stewart I moved and sat on the remote and turned off the tv. I was so pissed.

Hahahaha.....that sucks about the remote dilemna.

I was seriously on my toes the last 9 laps when they went back to green, and then the last caution for the green/white/checkered. That was such a great race at the end. Gordon's only chance was Busch blocking off Earnhardt, and UNLUCKILY, it happened. Oh well, good job Earnhardt!!

Hahaha, whiners. Gordon won that one. He had a strong car and finally made his move. Jr's car wasn't that good most of the day anyways. He even said it wasn't a 3rd place car. Busch was tryin and he did have a car at the end of the race, but it just didn't get the job done. Gordon had the same issue with Stewart 10 laps earlier. What happened to DEI today anyways? I thought they were supposed to dominate today? Pretty much, it was anybodys race today, and in the end Gordon was the man to beat.

                    hehe...

Gordon is a good driver and the more peopel bash and hate him, makes me like him more... Especially when he wins.

Gordon accomplished a feat unique in the history of racing. He won the 2005 Daytona 500 4 years before the race started.

That's about when he gave Jimmie Johnson his very big break, a ride in a top of the line car.

Gordon's car was slower than Stewart's, Earnhardt's and Busch's. With 3 laps to go, Johnson pushed him past Stewart and Earnhardt. Standard stuff.

But the key was the last restart. With Johnson in 3rd, does Dale have a chance of going high and hoping Johnson will follow and push him past Gordon? No way, so he stays low in the unlikely chance Gordon screws up.

Would Johnson race Gordon if he had a chance to win the race? Sure, but he has absolutely none. So he jumps up to the outside to deny Dale the push. Meanwhile Busch and Stewart are duking it out, so Dale has no help behind. Toast.

Busch drafts past Dale, but has the same problem and comes to the same answer. Hang behind Gordon.

It is now clear that a great strategy in NASCAR is to give the best young guy you can find his big break, even if that means that on some days he's gonna whup your a--.

Guess who's already figured that out. Mr. aw shucks, I ain't so good, I ain't so smart, I'm just out here having a good time Earnhardt.

And don't bet on Tony Stewart's future. I don't know if he's smart enough to figure it out (although the fact that he seemed surprised that Johnson would block him on the last lap of the Daytona 500, with Johnson's teammate in the lead, gives you a clue), but the world's greatest driver don't need no teammate.

Johnson may get paid back. Gordon won't give him any races right now, but toward the end of the year, if Johnson has a chance for the championship and Gordon doesn't, look out. Gordon will do everything he can (car prep, setup, drafting, blocking) to help Johnson win it.

I beg to differ. Gordons car was by far the strongest out there. May not have always had the fastest speed, but when Stewart was holding him up, only thing Gordon could do was lightly tap the brake so as to not get into Stewart's ***. You could see it the whole time Gordon was behind Stewart, he was right on him the whole time. I honestly don't believe that Gordon even needed Jimmy's help, or Busch's.

As for Martin, so long as he finished ahead of Stewart, I am happy. 6th place is a good start heading into the season, and going next week to one of the cookie cutters, California.

                              Gordon is a wuss.
                              Why's that?

I'm not a Gordon fan, but I do get sick of all the "fans" ragging on him for no reason. The fact is he's a great driver with tons of skill. Just because he wins alot, he's a wuss?

Now Kurt Busch, on the other hand, is definetly a wuss.
