2) Just cuz your uncle is a mechanic doesn't make him an expert on every car out there. I've known ****load of mechanics just like your uncle **** on american cars. Well, so far I don't have many complaints with american cars and we've had plenty of them.

2 - Learn how to read. MY DAD is a mechanic, not my UNCLE. And he doesn't know a sh*tload about every car, he doesn't work on like BMW or Mercedes a lot, but every domestic car, honda, toyota, and their sibling companies HE DOES know about.
He's been fixing them FOR 30 F*CKING YEARS!
And he doesn't sh*t on American cars... both of his children are driving GM as well as his wife. He isn't happy with their customer service lately, but does like the cars. He also will not knock you for driving a Honda or whatnot because they have their purpose too.
GM muscle cars last about 100k miles on average... some go farther, some less...
Probably not a good idea to buy one that is getting close to 100k miles that will put you in debt :(
