Well I guess I'm the new guy on here. I have been on LS1tech.com for a while now, but I have been reading post on here for about a year or so and though I would become a member. I am always looking for new ideas.
I am in the US Air Force and am stationed up here in Anchorage Alaska. As for my rides... up here me and my wife have 2002 Z28, 97 SS/RS, and my 05 Hayabusa. Back home we have the 66 GTO, 67 La Mans, 79 Corvette, and 79 EL Camino.
How.... being a dealer! Naw I'm just messing. I have my dad to thank for teaching me how to maintain and do just about anything to cars (paint, weld, motors, trannies, etc). Married military members get paid more for being overseas.
ok, whats under the hood of the green one? rs/ss not flaming just wanna know, and dude 4 foglights?? ugh...anyways welcome.
I figured someone was gonna ask. I always loved the 69 SS/RS and since Chevy never made another one, I did! The car was originally a 97 RS camaro. Next I updated all the suspension from a wrecked 97 SS camaro with a 1.5 inch drop. After I droped in LS6 from my dads shop back home. Now its my wifes, since she let me buy my Z28.
And as to the 4 foglights. In an Alaskan winter, its dark about 18-19 hours a day/mix with snow at times, so ya 4 fog lights are handy. In the summers a billit grille goes in front of them, but I take it off for melt down so I dont have to clean it.:D
nice cars man.. i have mad respect for any one who served in iraq... you deserve all the cars/bikes you have
you have any 1/4 mile times?
I have ran both camaros and the busa here at Alaska raceway.
Z28-12.803 @ 108 (No mods were done to it yet)
SS/RS-14.23 @ 92 (was with 3.8 and cold air intake before LS6 was in)
Hayabusa-8.984 @ 166 (50 shot)
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
