ok i normally listen to rap/rock but OCCASIONALLY i like to lesten to some techno for some reason it gets me a huge adrenaline rush, as i rarely listen to i dont know what all is good as in DJ's help me out here!

True "techno" is really a smaller category of songs. But most people use techno to describe anything house, trance, breaks, ambient.


If you dont have "Adagio for Strings yet", get it. Classic driving song. The William Orbit (ferry corsten remix) and DJ Tiesto version are both great.. Infected Mushroom "Bust a move" is another classic worth having

House is to techno as metal to rock. Techno is generally used to describe genre, then you have the sub genres like house, trance ect.

Same with rock, rock is the genre while you have metal, alternative ect.

You could make the same case for "electronica", "EDM" or "dance music". I know what you mean, thats how most people use "techno" but there are others that will tell you its a more specific type of music under the very broad "electronica" genre. Not that I care either way
