  • buying a 1980 Camaro Z28 new project

    Its in nice shape for its age,it has a 340hp tuned 350 400+tq emac paint another good thng is it has 410 gear ratio in the back,was a 4 speed but the dude got lazy at shifting so it has a 350 trans.1500 but iam trying to get him done to 1000.I raced him a few times last year and he leaves me about 5 cars behind right off the line.lol by the way 1000 is in canadian.Iam eventially that 350 is gonig to be a monster 383 stroker :)

    dude, 1500 American would be a ludicrous steel. Give him the $$$ now before someone else does. 4.10 & and a 3spd auto. That highway rpm must be up there

        not yet,but I can take some today from the road,I went over and checked on it today and found a hole in the rear pasenger qurter panelright above the tire,so a Grand isnt so bad.

                    I doubt that car will show up on any carfax due t age. IF the motor runs, then what you need to look out for is the spread of the disease known as "bondo". Take a felt covered magnet (so it wont scratch the paint) and run it over the rear 1/4 panels/wheel wells. These are the most common places to rot out and are a bondo magnet. Also check the underside rocker panels. If it doesn't have subframe connectors & you do buy the car, they should be THEE ABSOLUTE FIRST THING TO BUY. period.

                            no I found out its just a camaro RS with 77 side vents,and instead of the stock Z28 spoiler it has a Drag wing on,I will get pics tomorow for you when I pic it up.Also the guy says its a Corvette LT1 with a 750holly,Iam going to run the engine #
