current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it
^^^ ok you may be calm but im fvckin pissed myself... its not quite as bad here like 2.67 for regular but still thats fvckin ridiculous.... this fvckin blows that it went up like 25 cents in the last 3 days too.... whats the deal?? somebody care to share if ya know??
Yea, it's BS, but I stopped caring about how much it is. First off, theres NOTHING I can do to change it, so why worry. Secondly, my wifes the one that drives the most, and her work pays for her gas.

my opinion on the matter, we live in america and we only know what the government lets us know...only reason gas goes up i feel is just to pay for all the war materials and government expenses. u notice how we go over to iraq and take that **** over and then prices go up? i liked it better 6 years ago when i payed .88 a gallon now its 2.77 for 91 octane or whatever. i dont use regular unleaded cuz its not as good for the car if u think im wrong go buy an old pos and find out for urself. i had a toyota corolla 1988 and when i put regular unleaded in it and i went to turn it off it would pudder and try to stay on for about 30-60 seconds. highest quality gas the car ran like it was brand new. plus i did a check, filled my tankup on regular it went 250 miles highest octane i went about 300 miles. for the little increase in price i believe it is well worth the pay.
Here it went for 149.9 a litre last summer, now its at 119.9 a litre. I think there are 3.78 litres in a gallon so that makes 563.22 a gallon. Its not as bad as you think.... You can say what ever the hell you want about any government, it's not gonna change anything. I mean, you have Bush and we now have the canadian version (Harper). At least Bush is in his last 4 years, Harper was elected 2 months ago, we might be stuck with him for a while.
Well in Vancouver Canada, the price of 87 octane gas is $1.12 Cad per LITER, now if i remember grade 10 math ... 4 liters to a gallon...... yes.. ouch.... guess who goes across the border whenever he can to tank up on cheap american gas!!!!!!!

I don't think that's correct. If you remember, gas prices jumped to over $2.00 during Clinton's second term. But eventually it went down, but not much. That's the problem oil prices would spike up and then come down, but when they come down it's a little bit more than before.
Last year the middle eastern oil companies pocketted 26% more in profit. This year they will pocket even more. Compare to other Nations we are still okay. Europe and Asia pay a heck of a lot more than we do. The excuse I hear was that China's transportation use had increased a lot more because of their direction of becoming a more capital oriented nation. Imagine 1 billion people driving around instead of using their bicycle. China is actually paying a lot for gas and they just negotiated with Russia for oil in exchange for their other goods.

You have no idea how octane works do you?
The reason why the car was diesling (running after you shut it off) was because the engine was still getting fuel, and the carbon buildup in the cylinders were still glowing hot, and igniting the fuel. The reason higher octane didn't cause the car to diesel was probably because it doesn't burn as hot as lower octane.
If you're putting 93 in a car that only requires 87, you're throwing money away. PERIOD. 93 isn't any better or cleaner then 87. Now if you normally fill up at a hagi mart and the car runs like crap, then go to say mobil and put 93 in to "clean out the engine". Of course your car will run better. Mobil's gas is cleaner than the el cheapo gas at the hagi mart. If you were to run 87 at mobil, you'd probably get the same results.
And if your car thats designed to run on 87, still runs like crap on good mobil gas, then you probably need to change the plugs and wires.
