Re: Are you an idiot driver magnet?

when theres 2 lanes, and a shoulder thats wider than a lane, and you need to make a right off the highway doing 55, common sense wold say, hmm i dont want to be rear ended so ill use this nice open space over here to slow down instead of causing an accident, oh, i also believe that once you hit 60, you need to take a drivers test over agian, so many old people have cuased accidents around here, last month some 80 y/o woman floored itout of the parking lot at work trying to beat an oncoming bmw and a dodge van doing 60ish, when they were about 50 ft away to begin with.....it was bad and i was with my grandma this morning...she ran 2 stop signs by her house...im not driving with her again, foriengers too, i almost got T boned by two arabs runnigna red light on sunday

No. common sense says to slow yourself down ahead of time and put on your blinker to tell others what your intentions are. Breakdown lanes are for..um...breaking down?

I see you are from Jersey. That explains a lot. (j/k)

Whenever I complain about NYC drivers to someone from NYC, they always say "hey, we are better than Jersey drivers". Which, btw, is not true. NYC is by far the worst. Then Jersey, then Mass.

everyone from Jersey says "hey we are better than NYC drivers". true, but they still stink. :stp:

No, common sense would say, the shoulder is for pulling over and stopping. You do realize exactly how much debris is on the shoulder right? You can easily pick up a nail or something and get a flat.

Know where your turn is, turn your turn signal on 100' before the turn, like the law says, and you'll be fine. If you realized you'r about to turn, and you have someone ridding your butt, maybe it's not the best idea to mash on the brakes.

And if you're behind someone that does nail their brakes to turn, if you're following the legal distance, you won't have to worry about hitting their car.

the legal distance is 1 car lenght or 10 ft for every 10 mph, so thats about 50ft, take into account a .5 sec reaction time, your then 30ft behind them, and no abs for the loose...i have family is Mass., they are nuts, anbd they dont even know it, and yes, most jersey drivers stink, i can see why many people say so.
