wtf is with the new mozilla???

ok, so it asked if I wanted to update to the new version, I said do it
well as soon as it updates it freezes
I went to task manager and there are 5 firefox.exe processes
none of them would end
I tried to uninstall, it said it cant because firefox is running
I restarted and the same 5 firefox processes started with it
I had to restart in safe mode and uninstall just to get it off my computer
I cleaned everything out and restarted and tried again today downloading a fresh install
firefox opens, but will not access the internet
so now I am downloading firefox 1.0 since that worked great on my computer before
idk what the heck is going on, but this is really annoying

Hmm, I'm hesitant to upgrade. This is the 3rd time I've seen someone having problems with the new firefox.

I had no problems upgrading, but I think I may try out opera pretty soon since I'm not a big firefox fan.

I'm running the latest nightly build (20060413) of Minefield (Firefox) with no problems. Every now and then weird things happen, but that's to be expected with a nightly build. What version was it upgrading you to?

OK, well, mozilla started working after i searched the registry and deleted everything with firefox or mozilla in the name but it wouldnt connect to the internet
turns out norton internet security doesnt allow it to connect so i have to disable it... kinda pointless but at least firefox is back

Well, looks like I didn't have a say in the matter. I can home, and firefox updated itself, it didn't even ask. :rolleyes:

I had a few problems conneting to websites, but I'm not sure if its firefox or just my ISP acting funny.
