    my car is so slow ;_;

but i keep throwing money at it.

    new shocks/springs/brakes/wheels/tires

spent money on my interior for darker panels and leather.

considering finishing the interior and getting an exhaust.

if i would have just saved my money i would probably have a z28 or ta. or atleast a 3.8.

i sometimes wish i never bought it, and that makes me sad.

Its like that with every car...

I had a 2.8L blew money on it, eventually wanted more, upgraded to a 3.4L blew money on it eventually wanted more upgraded to a 3.8L, and blew money on it.

Hell if I had a ls1, I woudl be wanting an LS2, or 03 cobra...

      yeah i guess so.

but atleast with the lt1/ls1 its actually something faster than a lot of every day cars out there.

this is mostly steming from pent up unhappiness which finally burst when i walked by an infiniti qx.

i guess i just never would have figured an suv would be pushing 315horses and 390torque.

Yes.. i call it the grass is greener syndrome. Don't beat up on your car too much tho... yes it may only put out as much power as my mom's lancer sportback, but heck, its a hell of a lot better looking... and you've got to remember to put your car in context: Back then 160hp wasn't nearly as little as it is today. I mean nowadays you can buy a GTI that puts out 250hp... thats more out of a hatchback than you could get out of almost ANY car in america back in the 70s and 80s...

i used to not like my car. i didnt like the auto, i didnt like no t-tops, i didnt like the 3.8L
but now I love it, the 3.8l is a good engine

you might have .4 liters less than me, but you should be getting better gas mileage than me.
If you just want power and dont care about $hitty gas mileage, then get a v8.
If I wanted power and gas mileage, I would just buy a turbocharger/super.

If I were you, I'd stop sinking money into it unless you absolutely need it.

I used to do the same thing with my old 3.8L camaro. If I could have done everything all over again, I wouldn't have spent a single penny on it. Sure you can spend 5k on it and have a decently quick car. But thats 5k you could use as a down payment for an LS1 and have an even faster car.

It looks like the money you are throwing at it is for appearance stuff... you could get a nice little nitrous kit for it ;) Otherwise, just drive it and save up for an engine swap or another car, if you decide that's what you want...

i've been where you are. well only the 3.8 blues. and i spend alot of money to get where i am today but i have to say that i would do it all over again. cause there is nothing better than rolling up next to a mustang gt z28 ss's gto's and all the big boys on the block and beating them! so spend your money a little better and you will be golden
