Ahhhhhhhh, took the bird to work today

Well..... it hasn't been a daily driver for a couple years now and I do miss it a lot!

Well.... working 12-8 today, weather is just under 70... and bird runs, how could I not?

So, my et streets and front runners are on and this was the first time with the new front tires.

Very interesting, these are DEF straight line tires only.

T tops off today too!

Coolant temp - 175
Oil psi - 65
Voltage - 12.9
A/F - stoich
Fuel psi - 0 <--- guage doesn't work now
Tranny temp - 0 <--- see above ;)

I tend to forget how damn loud my bird is...... oh well, it makes me :)

No SES lights too!

My mickey mouse tie was flying in the wind.

I need to get all the tools out of the bird and put the interior back together later tonight

Ok..... back to life, time to begin work! I sooooooo can't wait to get out of work, just for the drive home!

glad to hear the bird is running good, isnt your fuel pressure kinda important in your car? i mean its important for every car but yours more so.

after ALL the threads that have been posted here on driving the racing tires on the street, and there you go........

and I think he's more concerned w/the fuel pressure when spraying, than just going to/from work

Is it even safe to drive around with those tires. What if you have to make quick lane changes or go an semi-circle off ramps.

As for safe for turning.....

No power steering
No front sway bar
15 X 3.5 wheels in front
26 X 4.5 front runners in front
no weight in front

This thing can't turn to save it's life! But.... it does fine in a straight line ;)

sweet. as for not turning, how much do you think the skinney's up front are hurting you? i mean no power steering isnt as bad once you get going, but you would think the skinney's hurt it just as bad right? i cant wait to see the tie :banana:

I don't care for handling in the bird.

When I decided to get the 'drag' k member vs. 'street' k member I knew my bird would never be a good handler ever again.

The difference in k member's is the 'drag' has no connections for a front sway bar.

If I had a front sway bar and STB along w/ skinnes (radial tires) it was.... decent

I have:
my mickey tie
looney tunes tie (all of them on it)
pinky and the brain (i don't wear it that often)

Work tends to be.... somewhat serious.... why not express myself :)
