    I bought a Mustang today...

    An X Mod Mustang!!! Haha, you thought I went over to the dark side!

    These things are pretty powerful right out of the box, but there's so much you can do with them and so many parts. All the information about them is overwhelming. I think I'm actually going to have to do research if I want to do anything with it beyond buying the Radioshack upgrades.

    Anyone around here get into X Mods? I'll have to be careful not to spend too much money, I've got a real car to make fast.....

      I have a skyline xmod with the motor upgrade kit, tire kit and bushing upgrade. The thing flies with the drag motor in it

          i have a skyline and a supra.. both with upgraded motors/suspension/body kit.. haha i got them for christmas like 2 years ago

              I have a yellow Acura NSX Gen 1 with...

              Lithium Ion batteries
              AWD kit
              Upgraded motor
              Metal axles (I snapped my plastic ones. Too much power....)
              "Tight Turns" mod...decreases turning radius dramatically.
              Taller gear(higher top speed)

              Altogether I've got around $120 into my xmod. I don't know anyone that can outrun it. Period. It's VERY fast.

              I'd say the best thing you can do for your xmod is get AWD. NO more donuts. Full throttle with AWD= fast, controllable acceleration. Drifting is also hella fun with AWD.

                    If anyone ever sees me buying an xmod mustang they will know it's because I just got back from Mexico and I have a fat stash of illegal fireworks.

                        Whoever asked how big they are: they are 1/24 scale, so a little smaller than a 1/18 scale model. I want to make mine fast!
