The planet of joblessness and late bill payments.
If anyone has been wondering where I've been lately (yeah, I'm sure you've all been holding nightly conferences and throwing out search parties regularly), basically I found myself abruptly in a position where I went from having relatively stable work to relatively little work literally over the course of a week. I've been spending most of my free time working odd hours doing consulting work. Sort of dropped off the face of the earth during, which is not unusual for me as those who I know more personally are aware of by now. ;)
I've been interviewing at a company for a high end development position, and have made it through three interviews, so things are looking good. Right now I'm waiting to hear if they're going to make me an offer or not. Salary will be wonderful, benefits great, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
In the mean time, I plan to be much more active on the forums.
Not much else is going on for me. The Z28 is still running but needs some serious work. I have no second gear, lots of valvetrain clatter, and in general the car is feeling severely underpowered (even when I had a transmission) :D
If and when I land this job I'm going to be looking for a daily driver so that I can park the Camaro for a bit and eventually put some money and labor into her. Not sure what I'm going to do, but I think an engine rebuild is probably the only thing that's going to make me happy at this point. There is always the slim possibility that I'll decide to get rid of the car and get a new Fbody as a project car. It might be less expensive. Time will tell.
