So I did my brakes about 2 months ago, brembo rotors, and Hawk HPS pads all around.

About a week or so after I installed the rotors and pads, I noticed my brakes had been making a slight grinding noise. I've heard hawks are slightly louder then stock, and they were stopping fine, so figured it just noisy pads. Well, durring my deceleration from my run at the track on saturday, I noticed my brakes were making an extremely loud noise. When I went to fill my tires back up, I noticed the meat on my passenger rear pad was GONE, and the rotor had a massive groove from where it looked like the pad was in constant contact with the rotor. When I got home, I took the pad off, and there was only maybe 2-3mm if pad left and that it was worn unevenly. It was worn slanted like / instead of being flat like |.

At first I thought the piston or the proportional valve may have been stuck, but the piston went back in very easily, and the proportional valve moved smoothly.

So I called tirerack and told them the brake pad failed and ruined my rotor, and they're overnighting a replacements that should be here by thursday .

I threw the old pad back on, and the car felt a lot more responsive. I was talking to Jenn last week how the car felt a little sluggish and the supension felt really loose. Obviously the brakes dragging was slowing the car down, I just didn't realize it until the problem was fixed

I'll try to get pics tomorrow.
