1st speeding ticket

Leaving school I start to accelerate onto the road where its 25mph. Look down and see that I'm going 40mph. I let off the gas and just coast until I come up to a street light to get onto the main road. While waiting for the light to change I look behind me to see a black SUV with its lights on. Sh!t I pull over and got a ticket for 100 bucks!! Now I'm worried about talking to the folks at home but I won't see them until about 930pm cause I work. I leave the ticket on the table to let them see it when they get home and mabey let them calm down before I see them. When I finally get home from work they weren't as upset as I thought. But now I don't have my car for an unstated amount of time and I have a 100 dollar bill to pay. Yeah for me!

no points? last time i went to pay a ticket for 64 in a 50, i was informed that if i just pay it, i would have two points

i remember when i got my first speeding ticket. That sucked. 60$ to start off with and then 10$ for every mph i was over. I managed not to get a ticket until i was 18 though, so i never had to tell my parents. Went to driving school (only meet one time for 8hrs and you get a certificate) and got it off my record. If i were you, i would go to court on the court date. I always go to court, even if i can pre-pay it. You may get lucky and the cop doesn't show, or you get a sympathetic judge and you can talk your way out of it. In your case, you should go and ask the judge for driving school. I dunno what north dakota does, but here in Va, driving school is an alternative to paying the fine and getting it on your record if it is your first offense. You should look into that.

yea, its better to take the points and take the defensive driving class( mine was 6 hrs) becuase that no points bargain thing is like $$, it cost me 487.00 for 14 over

i didnt get any tickets YET(knock on wood) haha but i fly aroudn everywhere.. i mostly go a least 15-20 over on streets i know

It happens. Its your first offense, so a rational judge will most likely let you off the hook if you agree to a probationary period. Always go to court.

Ya, it would be much better to take the class if you can. I had to take one, and it was boring, and this girl and I just made fun of the instructor the whole time.... so it wasnt all bad.

just fight it. in philly 99% of the time you just have to pay the ticket and then get no points.

They generallly have a comedy central or online class you can take...

so its wither funny or online(so you can play GTA and kill cops while you wait the time limits out)

I remember the first ticket I got. I was 16 in my monte carlo with a couple of friends and I got stopped after doing a smoke show. $402 dollar stunting ticket. I got home and my parents already knew because they have a police radio. Boy did I ever get in ****.

ha, my buddy went to pay for his ticket where he drives to college and payed for it that morning, forgot his homework, rushed home on the interstate and got another one. He asked to cop if he could explain, the cop said yeah... he said... I forgot my backpack and need to get back before class is over... so the cop replied... "I'll write you the ticket real fast"
