umm yeah... the dude said its in immaculate condition or some bs and hasnt even had to have its first oil change yet.... how is this if he bought it brand new and it has right at 7000 miles on it? does honda use some special oil right out of the showroom or what? lol... i dont get it...

Some synthetics say they can last that long, but I still prefer to change around 4k. That's also crappy because they should have changed the oil while they were doing the engine break in. I don't think that would have been something I would brag about in an ad.
Actually, the manual in my GTO said depending on your driving, you may not have to change the oil or filter for 8000 miles. There is a oil life monitor. Maybe its the same deal and he just trusts the Acura Engineers to know what they are talking about.
I still changed mine at 3000 for the first time anyway for peace of mind... :p

Some manufacturers no longer recommend this. Break in is basically doing a little final machining, and manufacturing procedures are better these days. And some manufacturers sell their new cars with a special break in oil which they don't want you to change until their interval.
