  • cell phone recommendations?

so since I moved I no longer have coverage at home with Alltel so I am going to switch carriers. my parents switched to us cellular and get great coverage so tomorrow I will stop my the store and see what they got. I am not looking for a $500 phone with all the bells and whistles. I only want something with good reception and bluetooth. don't need a camera or a 4Gb mem card or any of that extra crap. what would you guys suggest I look for at that store? and what’s a good bluetooth earpiece to go with it?

    Re: cell phone recommendations?

I used to have Nextel, and then they merged with sprint and sucked balls! I have T-Mobil now, and so far, they've been great! I've only had to call customer service once, and they were fantastic. I have the Razr ... I didn't want it at first, but it was buy one get one free and my boyfriend wanted one. We're on a family plan thing. I actually really like the phone. I thought a camera on a phone was stupid, but it actually comes in handy sometimes. I'd recommend T-mobile and the Razr ... :)

We don't have them here, but I'm pretty sure they're CDMA.

Well if you go nextel go for the i870, I just got it and love it...only one with BT I think, other than that I'd go for the razr, good phone, I just hate it due to the buttons, I press like 3 at a time....and for BT headset I think the moto HS850 is the way to go.

I absolutly love my US Cellular company. i got with them a little over one year ago when they moved into this state and built a store in my area and it has been heaven ever since. only one problem was the phone we had originaly gotten which had production defects so the speaker would go out like maintanance but it wasnt so bad cause our store had a tech that could replace it within 15mins no matter what cause we had insurance. god that insurance was great! I just redid my agreement and got an updated phone for free cause the company was trying to get rid of that one phone cause of the problems. this new phone is BadASSSSS

I've got Sprint. The coverage is fairly decent, and my LG flip phone is pretty nice, but I don't usually go for all the extras.

ok so I went to the store and ended up getting the motorola Razor V3c. then hopped over to best buy and got a motorola H700 bluetooth headset. I use to have to go about 2 miles down the road to use my old phone. now I can use the new one in the basement. I love it.
