          Re: Remember the '90s

They mixed a couple 80's things in there. And its sad because I remember when gas was .89 cents, not .95 cents... and I used to go broke to fill up my 41 gallon tank in my Bronco.

That last line about "When playing Nintendo was the hardest thing ever." is bull crap. I don't know about you guys, but I yanked out the old school Nintendo and tried it, and I never remembered it being so hard!

I miss the cartoons so bad! I've tried to stay up and watch sat morning cartoons or catch sun morning ones. but they're horrible. 22 and I feel ancient now.

                I noticed that too.

                Ditto.

What is sad, is some of the stuff on the list, I am too OLD to remember. I have no idea who Selena is. I've heard of Pogs, but never owned one. Power Rangers - heard of it, but was too old to watch (was in college when PR was on).

90's music pretty stunk compared to the 80's.

                  Re: Remember the '90s

I don't know, the '90s didn't really have a style of its own. Not like the '50s, '60s, '70s, and '80s. I mean they have a style of their own when it comes to clothing, hair style, music, dance move, cars and habits.

The '90s was kind of a lost decade. Lots of the stuff were a carry over from the '80s. Alot of the singers and actors, and such were from the mid to late '80s.

'90s became more retro of the '70s when it comes to clothing style, and such. The only thing I can remember in the '90s was when technology really took off. I mean computers were becoming more faster. Cars were becoming more fuel efficient, reliable and more HP rating per liter. Aluminum engine was replacing iron ones. Cell phones and internet were taking off.

Family oriented shows in the '80s were giving away to early '90s sex base shows. Religion, Morality and the concept of nuclear family were compromise. While gay movement and the raise of liberal media and politician also stem from the '90s.

I dunno Thor. Maybe as we move further from the 90's, it will become more apparent how it was its own unique decade just like the others. Maybe not?

Remember the Grunge trend? Thats what i think of when i think of the '90s. Dressing in your dirty jeans with a flanel shirt, just like Kurt Cobain. Rap/Hip-hop also became much more evident during the '90s

I don't think Kurt Cobain started that style. I recall that from the late '80s. Rap started in the late '70's, Hip-Hop more like in the '80s, remember the Beastie Boys, Bel Vid the Vo, Toni-Toni-Toni, Wil Smith and such.

One thing about the '90s we did have a lot of Boy group singers. :o

The '90s also represent the rise of talk shows (it just seems that every network had its own talk show)and the start of Reality Show. MTV actually started the Reality Show and not Survivor.

I love the 90s music. . . 80 % of the cds i own are bands that came out in the late 80s into the 90s.
The cartoons i miss as well . . . cartoon network doesnt have any good shows on anymore (besides adult swim). :(
95 black 3.8 camaro, Intake, Pacesetters, Flowmaster 80 series, accel plugs and wires, B&M shift kit (eh could be better), hopefully a highflow cat soon. and a bunch of appearance mods.

Only thing decent about the 90's was the music, that was about it. Its when I could still listen to rap. Other than that, I love my iPod, and the times there were created in....now talk about the 80's, thats a different story...
