    Re: Remember the '90s

Dang, Im only 19 and talk about memories. The only thing i dont remember is "Two words... Trapper Keeper"
    Maybe someone can refresh me

I think we had our on thing goin in the 90s but like mentioned, we really wont be able to see it until the future when everything is really different.

Me and my fiancee was talking just the other day about the old cartoons and TNT. they just dont have cartoons at all like they used too. too much anime, cheap anime at that.

The '90s was kind of a lost decade. Lots of the stuff were a carry over from the '80s. Alot of the singers and actors, and such were from the mid to late '80s.

'90s became more retro of the '70s when it comes to clothing style, and such. The only thing I can remember in the '90s was when technology really took off. I mean computers were becoming more faster. Cars were becoming more fuel efficient, reliable and more HP rating per liter. Aluminum engine was replacing iron ones. Cell phones and internet were taking off.

Family oriented shows in the '80s were giving away to early '90s sex base shows. Religion, Morality and the concept of nuclear family were compromise. While gay movement and the raise of liberal media and politician also stem from the '90s.
I see some validity in the lost decade description. I see the 90s as the period when the reminents from the late 70s and 80s were dying out and this whole new period of technology and culture was coming about, there was no set unity within the 90s, it was a time of change.

Remember when AIM first came out and it was awesome whenever you got a new buddy to annoy? I think I enjoyed that much more than whenever a friend is added in "Myspace".

Does any one remember "You can't do that on Television" or how about Fraggle Rock? How about flashlight tag? What about Sega CD? I use to make my own Kriss Kross video on Sega CD. Man I couldn't remeber all that stuff at once if I tried. Brought back alot of good memories though. I remembered all of that stuff except 2 or 3!

they didn't zip (not when the first came out). it was a tri-fold with velcro.

anyone remember when Velcro shoes were all the rage?
