47 billion less jobs I could be getting. I don't have a problem with legal immigrants. But the illegals that don't speak a lick of English and don't do jack **** piss me off. Its bad when you go into a store and see a sign in english then the same sign in spanish for the same stuff. Last time I went to Montreal there weren't French and English signs. But whatever I don't have a problem with any of them as long as they don't try to **** me over. Hell I bought my car from a Mexican.

Eh, i say its alright. Those immigrants come here to try and create a better life for themselves and their families. I know damn well if I was born and lived in mexico, and thought i could get into the United States....i know i would jump on that oppertunity and im sure everyone else in that situation would as well. America is the land of the free? Or is it? Most immigrants dont cause much trouble because if they do, the authorities will deport them back to their country once they find out they are illegal. Many mexicans work ****ty *** jobs too, that the average person wouldn't want. I work in the construction business, and i work with mannnny mexicans on occasion. They work hard, fast, and for cheap! The house you live in, or the next house you will live in, odds are mexicans built 1/4 or more of it. Illegal immigrants are just seizing a good available oppertunity to come to a better country. If the U.S. has such a big problem with this, they need to divert more money to the controlling the borders. On another note, the presidential election year needs to hurry up and get here. I consider myself a republican, and i did vote for Bush, but that man is an idiot. Kerry just happened to be a bigger idiot. Someone that is competent needs to be in office. The next election should be good. This country needs change and a better leader badly. Im waiting for bush to declare war on Iran because he thinks they have/or are creating WMD. Then comes the draft because Bush has troops occupying every country from here to east jesus.

The whole thing is ridiculous. Sometimes I wonder what the hell is going on with this world? People are literally protesting and demonstrating for ILLEGAL immigrants to have rights. Are you kidding me?

And what the hell is up with the LEGAL immigrants (Read: U.S. Citizens) that walked off on the job also in support? You fools. You seemed to make it ok, and I praise you for being part of the system and giving back. But you want to tell me you actually support these free riders??? WTF is wrong with you? Government officials who walked off the job should have been canned.

Im sorry guys. I understand they probably do a lot of sh*t jobs we wouldn't want to do, but the fact of the matter is, using our systems benefits and not giving back, thats a leach. I also understand people have been delt sh*tty cards and are trying hard for a better life. Does that still give you a reason to bend the rules and break the laws?

You guys should read up on Hollands boarder policies. Talk about strict... A country that expects immigrants to come in and merge to their culture rather then the country bend over backwards to support their culture. Freakin Brilliant. By the way, did anyone see any of the numbers showing just how bad they "hurt" the U.S. economy by not working? I remember demonstrators saying how the U.S. economy will become crippled in one day. Whats funny is I heard on NBC that the majority of the loss of money was from Latin / Mexican restaraunts, grocery stores, and businesses in general, with mostly Latin / Mexican customers were hurt the most. Well duh.

I also heard there were protestors protesting the protestors, lol. They were erecting a 6 foot barb wire wall/fence on the mexican boarder to show their support. Too funny.

If you live in this country, use the services of this country (police, fire, roads), and enjoy the freedoms of this country, you should pay just as much in taxes (specifically INCOME tax) as the rest of us. If not, Get the f out. period.

The bottom line is that if you want to cheat the system, sneak into the country, not go through all the bull**** of moving to the U.S. more power to you. However, if you then want to turn around and demand all manner of rights and perks just because you've found "a job" or have been here for "a while" then you need to be slapped in the face :twak: . I'm sorry but you can't have your cake and eat it too. 'S not going to work like that. You wanna be an illegal immigrant? Fine, buts thats what you'll be "illegal".

My family and i immigrated here almost 12 years ago, and we did it the right way. Let me tell you its a huge pain in the ***. The U.S. is one of the hardest countries in the west to actually legally immigrate too (and if you don't believe me: try it), infact we only became eligible for citizenship a couple years ago (this years gonna be the year). It took 10 years to get through all the INS bull****, and we're not even from some back water terrorist country, we're from England. So for these people to just sneak over a fence from Mexico and then start demanding things is like a slap in the face for all the REAL immigrants in this country, ones who did things properly, signed the millions of forms and red tape, and actually deserve something.

All I can say is damn. I'm against illegal immigration eventhough I am an immigrant myself. My family has been here since WWII. But I can understand where these people are coming from.

First lets get something straight. Immigration policy in this country is not as loose as before. The US only accepts immigrants that have a certain profession like doctors, engineers, teachers, and scientist. If you go to any big facilities in this country or hospitals and even some big colleges you'll find that most working their are professional immigrants. Those without a profession or education are pushed back at the back of the line. So that thing about getting in line to come to this country is really false. Illegals that came here can't afford to wait in line, not when their lives and their families are being compromise.

Remember that thing on Liberty Island: "Give us your poor, tired, and weary yearning to be free." I know I have it wrong, but it goes something like that. A lot of immigration going on coming from Europe to this country. That's how a lot of your great grandparents did it and there were no such thing as getting in line.

Immigration policy is also more relax to nations like Canada, Europe and Russia. They are more strict with Latin American countries, Africa and Asia. How do I know this, well my brother married someone from the Philippines and my brother-inlaw married someone from Peru. But my aunt married someone from England and my co-worker from Russia. And I also used to work for Social Services, WIC, and CDI so I've seen a lot of these policy.

Illegal aliens in this country:

4-million from Latin America.

90,000-120,000 from Asia.

10,000 from Europe.

10-15,000 from Arab nations.

5-7,000 or so from Africa. (Probably outdated now)

Historically we do have a very poor immigration policy and how we've been treating immigrants. America discriminated the Irish when they first came here because they were Catholics, the Italians were treated worst because they were Catholics and they started their own community. America forced the blacks here because they needed slaves. They made the Chinese work on the railroad and Japanese, but sent a lot of them back because the work was done. Then impose a strict immigration policy because America don't want Asians in this country. America took Calif, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and forced the Hispanic to assimililate or get out.

And now we have illegal aliens jumping the borders because of political corruption, poverty, and lack of human rights in Mexico.

What I don't get is why we are accusing them of undermining the middle-class when in truth we are undermining them. I blame those companies who hired them more than anything. Because of them, illegals are jumping our borders and using our school and healthcare facilities and housing facilities. These companies gives them jobs that pays way below poverty level to our standards, jobs that are very difficult and hazardous to health, and they don't provide them healthcare or housing. They make them pay taxes while illegals are not allowed to file taxes later on. I really due think that these companies should pay for what they have done to this country and to them.

Illegals are just human beings who will do whatever it takes to survive and to provide for their families. If you want illegals to stop, these companies need to stop hiring them and start paying Americans good wages and provide healthcare benefits. We also need to have those 3 million healthy homeless Americans working instead of providing free services to them and esp. those on welfare (don't even want to start). Americans should do its own dirty jobs and be paid good wages for it.

The way things are going right now: raising healthcare, high cost of living, high cost of education, with low wages for the middle class-Making the distinction between the middle class and the upper class more and more-It's not going to get better, it's going to get worst. Companies would rather hire hardworking, non-complaining, very reliable, low paid, non-insured illegals than anything.

My sister in law didn't speak english 3 years ago, she legally immigrated here, and learned conversational english in like 4-6 months.


there are people that have lived in the US for 10 years that do not speak one word of english(look back at the Elian Gonzalez fiasco years ago)




As for all this money that illegals make, I am willing to bet, 50% of it is sent back to their family back in their country of origin. thus not even affection the US economy.



BTW if we get rid of "fruit pickers" the world will not end. Someone will figure out, invent, and manufacture a machine that will do the job. Creating more jobs in the US.

Okay for anyone that said that Mexican or Spanish speaking immigrants dont try to learn english in this country there is a thing called "Ingles sin Barreras". Which are videos that teach you to speak english and many people do use it.
Also many Mexican imigrants do join the army and have died like in Iraq fighting for this country and they dont even have citinzinship in the US.
