Barrel tile roofs are required in my neighborhood.

In addition, the heavy tiles hold up much better in high winds. Also, the installation methods have been improved to try to better withstand high winds of huricanes.

Well, I'm still waiting - because it has been too rainy for the guys to work. The dry season has ended and the wet season has begun.

OK, so now the typical weather pattern here is to get rain every day, until, oh about November.

OK, today they promised they'll show up tomorrow AM - we'll see.

Now today the pool company has shown up and has started tearing up and rebuilding the pool coping today. Then re-marciting of the pool begins after that - so the house will look like a disaster from all angles soon.

...and to top it off, my mother-in-law will be visiting this weekend. :help:

They finished pounding on my roof this afternoon. Now we wait for the inspector, then wait for the tiles.

I don't know if that type of roof requires nails, but if it does check your driveway and other surrounds for them because I found about 10 nails on my driveway after we had our roof redone.

Thanks for that advice - it does require thousands of thousands of big roofing nails. I really don't want a flat tire, too.
