Well, here it goes...I normally work evenings until 10pm or 12am so I normally do my small errands late and go over to my gf's house late at night as well, which means I leave for home early in the morning (can't stay out all night still live at home) anyway, the past 3 nights I have had the local township police follow me, closely, very close. Today I had two of them in separate incidents whip around and do a uturn on StRt. 741 and 725 which are busy streets around here. I don't speed, there were no other sporty cars by me and I try to follow the law to the best of my knowledge. Why are they doing this to me? I don't party so my car is never seen leaving one and I never have had any problems with the police. However, now i find myself paranoid to drive b/c it seems like those police are on my butt, it's crazy, I had a friend call me from a parking lot where he saw that cop do that today and ask what i did. It's driving me nuts. Is there anything I can do? Is that harassment of some sort? Not driving on those roads isn't an option really...Ideas?

Re: Should I have to watch my back?
let me guess. it was miami township? they always do that at night. heck ive had them follow me through the mcdonalds at the bottom of the hill. usually they only do it towards the end of the month. AFAIK they have quotas they have to meet so the end of the month they go crazy pulling people over. i have them follow me all the time. never pulled over though. miami township cops are pretty cool. its the Miamisburg ones you have to really worry about. they pulled my wife over at an atm and gave her a warning for not wearing her seat belt... keep in mind for the most part this area has tons of bars.. and after 10 the idiots are out and about getting hammered.
i wouldnt worry about it. as long as your obeying the law they wont give you a hard time.

Re: Should I have to watch my back?
Some how I knew you would know who I was talking about lol...because I'm going 45 on 741 and BAM! I have township on me, and I'm like great here's a bogus ticket coming, and they never pull me over. I also suspect it may be the car, they must think that we are gonna speed right after they get behind us, I mean I always break the law when cops are right by me. At least they are out and about looking for trouble not just sitting somewhere.

Re: Should I have to watch my back?
lol it comes with the territory of owning a fbody.
what cracks me up about them is this.. they always follow people who arent doing anything wrong...and yet in the last week ive witnessed 3 different cars hit the median in front of roosters/dunkin donuts, 2 people driving the wrong way on central ave in West carrolton, and the same motor cycle doing 140 down 741 @ 2 am every night for the past week. how do they do such a good job, and then miss these bone heads?

Re: Should I have to watch my back?
Hey man if you are obeying all rules, and you're car is legal looking you got nothin to worry about. Just keep in mind cops CAN pull you over because you have over/under inflated tires. The way I see it is they may think you're a drug dealer since you have a nice car and are driving it late at night.

Re: Should I have to watch my back?
How far do they follow you? They are probably just checking to make sure you arent some drunk toolbag considering the time of night. If they are just following you waiting for you to F' up so they can nail you, then thats total BS. That'd also be BS if they follow you for more than a couple miles which just goes to show you the latter is true...05 GTO
97 W68
<a href=\"http://dpo.rpai

Re: Should I have to watch my back?
I used to go to my girlfirend's house 3-4 times a week after work. At like 1:30 am. Every other time, a cop stalked me for at least 2-3 miles.
Reasonable, usually hooligans out that late at night.-Eric
2000 NBM V6 Camaro 5-speed T-top converted
14.467@95.45mph $0 in mods
The member formerly known as MustangEater8251

Re: Should I have to watch my back?
My friends and I got pulled over... parked at the end of a dead end street. Someone must have called them on us, since there were 3 Brockport (town I go to school in) cops and 1 sheriff. There were 3 Mustangs, 5 kids total (all under 18) at about 12:00AM. Apparently we aren't aloud to sit at the end of a dead end street and talk. We would have parked at my friend's house, but his parents were sleeping and thier window was open. There was only one house down by where we were, a newly built house that was vacant. They checked that to see if we vandalized it. My one friend was leaving as they came, and he didn't have his registration or insurance card. The sheriff pulled him over, but let him go because the car was just put on the road and the paperwork was in the mail. I'm surprised they let him go, since he is 16 and can't drive past 9. Apparently they have nothing better to do than harrass people who are just talking.Don\'t Ever Judge Me
\'96 Firebird Y87 3.8L V6 5spd
--No mods as of yet, shoot me some ideas if ya want.
178,000 miles and counting

I really hate that man. Not everyone parked on a corner, or standing on a corner, or stop or any sort of congregation with young people is doing something wrong. Anytime I get harassed for doing something within my legal right I make sure the cop hears it, in a respectful way of course, I dont need more crap lol.
