Go man go! I hope he does it. I hope he makes it work out.

Just as MrCoffee said, my father has told me a hundred times how he read up on this guy back in the 70's who could run his car off nothing but water. It was huge, then all of a sudden, no one ever heard of him again. Now we have no idea what happened, but I'm willing to bet some oil companies paid him off to shut his mouth...

If they didnt pay him off they probably shanked him in an alley or gave him some cement shoes!

But that's nothing new though. I mean hasn't it been around since the early '90's but nobody seem to pursue it? I hope they do this time. It's such a clean option.

I heard in the radio the other day that they can convert human and pig feces into fuel. I don't wanna go there.

umm...i don't know about that one but i think someone should do this "water as a fuel" thing....it hurts bad everytime i fill up my gas tank...right now, i fill up my gas tank two times a week so you can feel my pain....hopefully we can run our cars with water in near future.......

Biodiesal FTW!!!! Plus your car will smell like french fries if you reuse fast food fryolator grease. Who needs the pine tree air freshner anyway?

No kidding. I just paid $52.00 last night to fill up a 16 gallon tank and this is for my wife's car. I gonna have to shell out another 50 bucks for my pick up today. It's hurting me really bad too knowing that I'm paying $3.43/gallon for an 87 octane. Life just keeps getting harder and harder for me.

A friend just bought the biodiesel Jeep Libby. I learned a few things. Fry grease and biodiesel are NOT the same thing. Biodiesel is 80% just regular diesel and them some other crap he has to get through a consortium. I joked about the fry grease and he told me that was something else...crap..I was drinking heavily and forgot the name.

Sorry to inject reality but it's flat impossible. Right up there with perpetual motion machines.

Fuel (gas, ethanol, biodiesel, hydrogen, coal, wood, etc.) works because there is available energy inside it that is released by burning it with the oxygen in air.

The energy originally came from the sun. Plants use the solar energy to make chemicals with energy inside them. Animals eat the plants and also make chemicals with energy inside.

There's no energy inside water that's available. Water is an end result of burning fuel. All the available energy is gone when you get down to water.

then explain how he was welding with it, it obviously has to have potential

I dont know if its water as the energy source or water as the cause for the energy, similar to a hydroelectric dam. Imagine that just super efficient and on a smaller scale to power a pair of wheels. All it takes is gravity or a pump to push the water fast enough to turn turbines or something.

His patent says: "The gaseous mixture is generated by applying an electrical potential between the two principal electrodes."

He puts energy into the water with electricity and breaks it up into hydrogen and oxygen, then gets some of it it back from burning the hydrogen and oxygen. That's what you're seeing. Old stuff, not "getting energy from water".

"I dont know if its water as the energy source or water as the cause for the energy, similar to a hydroelectric dam. Sure. But you have to put energy into the water to turn the pump or lift it up where gravity will put energy in as it falls. But water itself has no available energy inside it. Fact.

You can make water do stuff by putting energy into it. But it will only be giving you back some of what you put in. It's impossible to use water itself as an energy source.

The question is, where is he getting that energy from? If he plugs the car into an outlet to store energy with batteries, then I guess we would still be dependent on fossil fuels because where the hell do you think you get your power from?

You make a good point Bob. On the other hand, if he knows a way to obtain the energy that isn't thru fossil fuels, its still a win considering we will not be dependent on fossil fuels. I doubt it though.

We need a renewable resource, plain and simple.

BTW, its like fuel cells. Fuel cells run off Natural gas. So were still screwed.
