hydrogen welder & engine. I've also seen something interesting on mythbusters the other day. They got some used fry oil from a rmc d's or what not, filtered it, and run it in a late 70's/early 80's mercedes deisel, and got about 27~30 mpg on that.

Ouch! - this is the kind of misleading story that drives public ignorance about energy and fuel. Fox was very irresponsible in their choice of words to call water a fuel. Water is not a fuel, it can be a source material to create an inefficient fuel, the gas HHO - which is the fuel and NOT water. Water is to the gas HHO what ash is to wood. Dennis Lee does a scam to make people think water can be used to power things - it can't , water is the waste product. Gases are dangerous and hard to store and hard to compress - they do not do an efficient job of temporarily storing energy. The best way to use water to store energy is to pump it to an uphill storage tank - that way only has about an 20% energy loss compared with typical total 70- 90% loss rates of using electrical power to separate water into gas, and then harnessing the energy available by burning it.
The gas produced by separating water is dangerous and has been called many things including Browns gas. It has been available for years from many sources. These machines are heavy and suck in a lot more power than you ever get out of them by burning the gas back into water. Around 15 years of promoting browns gas for welding, cutting, etc haven't seem to have made much of an impact on the world of working metal.

A friend just bought the biodiesel Jeep Libby. I learned a few things. Fry grease and biodiesel are NOT the same thing. Biodiesel is 80% just regular diesel and them some other crap he has to get through a consortium. I joked about the fry grease and he told me that was something else...crap..I was drinking heavily and forgot the name.
There are different "blends" of biodiesel. The stuff your friend is using is called B20. You are correct that it has 80% petroleum diesel, and the other 20% is biodiesel.
You can actually run a vehicle with 100% biodiesel as well which is produced from waste vegetable oil(or animal fat i.e. some fry greases). Add a catalyst(methanol and potassium hydroxide) and bam, you've got biodiesel.
Not necessarily. Fuel cells can run off hydrogen produced by nuclear power plants. Lotta available energy in uranium.
Fuel cells do run off Hydrogen. They just use natural gas to obtain the hydrogen from a chemical break down. Maybe one day we will produce hydrogen readily from a number of nuclear power plants for the purpose of bottling it up and delivering to homes and fuel stations. But as of now, the fuel cells being developed to heat your home, power it and fuel your car, run off natural gas seeing as thats the gas that is readily available. It's still a step closer I suppose.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
