Who has kids here and how much trouble is it getting them in the back seat? If I get a Camaro I will look into disabling the passenger airbag so my son car ride in front. There is a company near me that installs them for around $300. Or is the back seat doable for small kids?

Re: Who's got kids here?
like a car seat? ive seen that done before, but I myself sat in the back seat of my car ( im 15, about 5'7" ) like 3-4 times for 20-30 minutes and i was fine. not the most cozy seat, but it was bareable. car seats fit if thats what your asking though.1998 bright red camaro ,M5 ,Y87 ,stock

Originally posted by Rune:
If it smells like a turd and looks like a turd, chances are its probably not a candy bar.

Yeah, my girl will be 2 here next month, and her carseat goes back there nice. I just have to put the passenger set all the way up for my to get my fat a$$ in there to put the seat in. And the smile on her face when I rev the engine is priceless.

Re: Who's got kids here?
i have a 2 year old daughter, she rides in a carseat in the passanger side in the backseat...car seat fits in their nice and cozy, only thing that i wouldnt like about it is my damn exhaust is so loud, specially back there, i mean she never complains but ive sat back there while my g/f drove to to see how loud it was....its so cute, whenever i take her with me she always says "go fast daddy", "go fast". she is my lil angel\"there are things known, and things unknown, and inbetween are the doors\"-jim morrison

http://www.cardomain.com/id/99NBMCamaro

Originally posted by SpeedingFirebirdHow hard was it to get the carseat to sit tight in the buckets? My biggest concern is that I like to have my son (he'll be 2 next month as well) in the middle. But he loves cars and wants to ride in it. I was always curious how well the carseat would tighten up.
The first time I put the seat in, it slid to one side when I would turn, I think it's the leather, but I tighted it down more, maybe I had the belt snagged on something when I was tightening it. It's snug now.
The only thing that conserns me is the sun. The way the back glass is, the sun shines right on the top of her head. I suggest a hat.

I told my wife about the comments in this thread regarding the carseat and she said "WE HAVE TO DO IT!". She doesn't get to ride in the FB any more because we use the bimmer for family trips.Last edited by SpeedingFirebird; 06-01-2006, 10:42 AM.

Re: Who's got kids here?
I used my Firebird for a few years with a car seat and it worked just fine. I just put a towel or two in the bucket seat to fill in the space and then put the car seat on top of that.2000 GTP
Pulley, Intake
ET - 14.02
Trap - 97.15
