    woooot! T-tops Monday!

    haha i went down today to talk to the guy about grabing the parts i need... getting everything for the ttop conversion...even the dashpad and hatch latch/botton i need ....gunna pick all the parts up on monday ....the best thing is its all FREE!:banana: then im gunna grow some balls while my car is being painted and im gunna cut the roof off when i get it back....
    thing is somebody around here should help me out..cough Kristen haha i dont have the balls to do it yet so if you could come up sometime in like 2 weeks or so and help me out thatd be awsome.. just im me or something ..or if anybody else lives near by whos done it? not shure on who else did it besides kristen and shanaigans.... im just scared ****less that im mess something up:( ...haha

    dont you think you should do the ttops before its painted? just incase.

    good luck with it. id offer to help but i dont know **** about the conversion and i'd be too worried id mess something up.

      do ttops first , after cutting you gonna have the area than not covered with paint , and you would have to pait it again

        yeah but i dont wanan rush into it u know the car is going into the paint shop in liek 3-5 days... so i dunno but eaither way im prolyl just gunna use spray can and clear for that part anyways... u barly see it and hey..black is black right

            i highly advise against that, do it before paint, you are having experts tell you this, i would listen

                because your body will be different, you will have edges, and if you look at kristens, there is paint inside the t-tops, that back wall she built is painted, and you arent running the risk of scratching your fresh paint anywhere when you cut, just wait, you will be so glad you after its all said and done, i'm certain of that, you dont want to rush these things

                  I don't understand why you don't paint it after.. so what if the car is going to paint in 3-5 days.. miss that appointment, go the next time they have an opening.

                  You're risking losing hundreds if not thousands (paint job) because you're impatient for a paint job.

                  You're 17.. you have plenty of time.

                    I definitly agree.....Get brand new paint job then start cutting. That order sounds ALL WRONG. Definitly install then do painting....Can save you alot of money if something was to happen.

                      i guess so i just dont know when the guy is goign to have another opening you know... i think im gunna try before it goes.. i get out of school tuesday so i can have all day wed/thurs/fri to d oit ill just brign my car in a little later to him....

                        If he doesn't have space, then find someone else. If he's going to pressure you into painting your car when it's not ready, that's not right.

                        I say give it to him when you're good and ready, after all, you are paying him, not the other way around.
