Italy advances to the FINALS!!! holy crap i never saw that one coming...but it does make sense considering they haven't been scored on the entire World Cup except by themselves in the USA match. anyone else see that Germany v. Italy game? AMAZING! shows what good ref'ing can lead to: great games.
Amen. I was saying after the match that the real man of the match was the ref. That guy did a superb job, and we really got to see who was the better side (although not by much apparently).

i watched it. What a great game. That ref was very good, but a good ref in this world cup does have its downside. Since this world cup had so many bad refs, by now the players were use to getting the call for taking a dive. Germany didn't get the calls they were use to getting so the good ref had a disadvantages towards the germans. Good game

The germans!?! What game were you watching? It was the italians who kept diving and expecting a call. Not that it really hurt them that much anyway (they won)... anyway, time to go watch France and Portugal...

Ho ho, just watched France v. Portugal. Another great game, as both teams played pretty well with France edging out Portugal on a penalty in the first half.
... and suprisingly another good game from the refs. point of view. He only handed out 1 yellow card, and didn't fall for any of the portuguese diving (and there was a lot of it too). Intrestingly it was the same ref from the USA Italy match.. the one that got so out of control.
Anyway, Italy and France on sunday... can't wait
