taught myself, goin on 5+ years now, i have a ibanez electric, silvertone electric, yamaha acoustic, (tryin to convince my dad to sell me one of his alvarez acoustics). i have 3 amps, a 15inch Sano tube amp, a Kustom 8inch, and a Crate 8inch amp

How long you been playing for?

Going on 5+ years as well. Self-taught, into a lot of Swedish/Euro stuff, and Neoclassical stuff.

i usually play metal or classical depending if im playing my acoustic. i got a squire when i first started and haven't upgraded yet. been playing for a lil more than 7 years i think.

id really like to get this lil number :D

I've been playing off and on for nine years. I've had tons of equipment but have sold almost all of it over the yars. All I have right now is:

Fender Double Fat Strat - black with tortoise shell pickguard
Silvertone Strat copy - black, this was my first guitar, I'll never let it go Plus for a $100 guitar, it's got the best tuners on any guitar I've ever owned, it always stays tuned!)
Harmony Strat copy- current in pieces. I sanded it down and just haven't put it back together. Used to be black.
Martin Acoustic
Marshall MG30 - I don't play in a band anymore so this is loud enough.

I've had and sold the following:

Ibanez Flying V from the 70's
Ibanez Pro Line Flying V (Randy Rhoads style)
SX Flying V (Gibson copy- and yes, I LOVE Flying V's)
Cort Les Paul copy
Epiphone Special II Les Paul (junk)
Ibanez RG321
Harmony Acoustic

I've had a bunch of smaller amps (under 50 watts), nothing special. But the biggest amp I've had was a Crate MX120r. Pretty loud, lots of fun! I've had tons of monitors, PA system, mic's, the works. Sold everything cept for one amp and a few guitars.

@ fbody3400 hehe ..and i play bass if it coutns for anything? i got a small 30 watt rogue amp and i have an gibbson explorer bass, and a custom made bass out of my design(lime green O_o),and i tried guitar i have a johnson acus laying around somewhere... sucked at that though so i picked up on bass

ive been teaching myself on and off since 8th grade or so. (6-7 years)

not very good :(

i have a red/cherry gibson faded flying v (half moon inserts woo)

my amp is this tiny 15watt fender practice amp or this giant peavy thing my friend left here one day. its pretty sweet.

That Paul Reed Smith Corvette guitar is a nice piece but its worth more than it should be. I would like to have a 427 in my bird lol. I've been trying to get in a band but the prospects are low around here. I'm interested in Progressive/ Instrumental Rock,,,Satch and Vai style. Nobody wants to because they think the music is complicated. I say foowee.
