I wonder how hard the terrorists are partying whle hearing/reading about this? I wonder how many more accusations it will take before we're forced to pull out becuase all of us have been accused and Murtha decrees that we're already guilty.

Liberal Media here and Media in the Middle East are having a field day. Whatever happen to innocent till proven guilty. It just seem that they kept giving different sides of the story. I smell rotten fish.

To me this is just a smoke screen to show the world how bad Americans are. Eventually this will clear up and it will prove that the soldiers are innocent.

Our guys need to be held accountable for any war crimes they commit in Iraq or elsewhere, but the proper legal procedures need to be followed: if they're not going to charge these guys, they need to let them go. We shouldn't violate our own legal principles in order to show the world that we're cracking down on war crimes. They should do this the proper way.

They are doing exactly that. An investigation has been conducted by the military. The results have been referred to a high officer for a decision on how to proceed, that is, whether charges will be filed. This is, so far, going by the numbers.

Don't confuse what you read in the press, either right or left wing, with what the military is actually doing. One rule that's being strictly adhered to is that no one in the military is allowed to make any public comment on the case. So the stories go unchallenged by the people who know what's up. The press stories are mostly propaganda, on both sides. We'll have to wait for the facts.
