  • so some friends convinced me to see tokyo drift...

it actually was a pretty decent movie
granted the acting was about as convincing as the second one
I actually enjoyed myself and was far from bored
my away message on aim said "going to see the gay and the fabulous 3: tokyo drift"
I did not have high hopes
and it had a little mini surprise at the end, it was kinda cool
the movie really sucks you in
enjoyed myself, and id totally give it 3.5 out of 5 stars :)
id give it 4 if it wasnt for the guys really fake southern accent :p

The main character played in Friday Night Lights as well. He had a southern accent in that too. That whole beginning sucks u in.. Hell yah i saw it last night.. I didnt think it was going to be good but.... i must admit it was awesome. I was stuck watching the whole time. Damn good movie. Didnt like the whole nissan motor in the mustang but hey it worked.

saw it sat night. there was no way i was going to miss that. i knew the story line would suck. but hey, if a move has cars i'm there.

the cars were kinda kool, effects were alsome. and i have to admit that i want to learn to drift now.

i was PISSED when they droped the 4 banger in the stang and it also had a bomb muffler on it. oh and isn't it amazing what a little buffing did to the stang!!

yeah...that accent was not fake. my close friend's sister knows him really well, i think she went to school with him or something. not positively sure how they know each other. but my friend says his accent is the same off camera.

I was thinking the same... LOL... I could of sworn when the dad was working on it the front of the car was primered.

Next you see a guy with a buffer aned its a show winner. LOL

I still said they should have had a scene where someone says "If you dump $5-6,000 into this, and we overnight the parts from the U.S., this thing will decimate all!"

Please don't jump on that band wagon. Drifting is the automotive figure skating. Also, the RB26DETT is an inline 6.

"The climactic drift battle is between the hero Sean Boswell in a 1967 Mustang fitted with a Nissan Skyline engine in the story — but in reality with a big V8 for stunts — and the "Drift King" in a twin-turbocharged Nissan 350Z along a narrow mountain road "

Nice to know the v8 was still used.

BTW, that article is about stunt drivers/driving. Very cool read.

I thought it was going to be a terrible movie, but it turned out to be not half band. The first race was so stupid, and yeah who new you can turn primer into a perfect clear coat

I thought the movie was good, I mean it was way better then the second one. The cars were pretty cool, it wasn't like the first ones with ugly *** honda's this one had impressive cars such as tt 350z's and Evo's, it also had th mustang and a viper in the beginning. I thought it was cool because the main guy was a muscle car guy and he sort of underestimates the imports. Anyone know what car the surprise guest was driving at the end?
