well **** that idea up its stupid assss(my orig post) i just lost my ****ing job god damnit, they finally got my dmv driving record and i geuss wasnt
to impressed w/my DUI from 3 years ago, or my DWI from 5 years ago....man
im pissed at myself....ive made some stupid choices in my life back then, now
its finally catching up to me to show me who the ***** is, its me

where were you working? can they actually fire you for that? unless its a job that involves you driving or you lied about it on an application i dont think they can fire you for something like that.

Yes they can. He has a criminal record and also, in the state of Oklahoma, you do not have to have an excuse to fire someone unless it is something protected like race, sex, etc.

its a small business right up the road from my apt, they sell EVERY IMAGINABLE faster, nut, bolt, washer, hcs, l/w, u-bolts, i-bolts......i was the delivery driver, delivered them to big mfg plants and such, i was only there for about 2 months before this **** happened, i got on through a temp service here, when i first started they(employer) asked for a copy of my driving record, so i called the temp service and asked them and they said they would fax it over, they never did, so i called an avg of 2x's a week asking if they had sent it/if they would, they said they would, but they never did, until this past monday and thats when my (old) employer finally recieved it. and as i stated in a prior post, ive had a dwi and a dui w/in the last 5 years(takes 7 to get it off your record) and they said it was too risky for me to be on the companys insurance.

i didnt lie about not having them on my record, they just never asked and i didnt feel they needed to know(its not anything im proud of). so i just left it at that.

another thing that pissed me off about it was, the company only has 4 employers, the boss/owner, his assistant(takes PO's and tells us what needs pulled and where to deliver it) then me and another guy. my day consisted of this: get there at 8, work at the shop w/ the other guy pulling orders, putting them on pallots etc...., eat lunch from 11:30-12:30, come back from lunch, spend the rest of the day delivering PO's while the other guy stays and continues to fill orders. so i asked him why the other guy couldnt start doing the deliveries and i just stay at the shop throughout the day and fill orders etc... he said that wouldnt work, i was like why, he said they needed 2 guys(employers) who had clean driving records in case one guy didnt show up for some reason the other guy could go out and make that guys deliveries for the day.l


im still really bummed because i really liked that job, it was a small family owned business like i stated before, everyone was laid back and nice/friendly, plus it was 3 minutes from my apt.

this is the time i hate, the time inbetween jobs, i HATE(w/a passion) looking for jobs

sorry about you losing your job, and no, you losing your job didnt make me feel any better, thanks though, i hate when people lose their jobs because ive been through it and it sucks, once agian, thanks for attempting :wavey:
