  • New Here, saying Hello to you

    Hi,

I'm new here on the board, and this is the moment to say hello to you all.

My name is Xavier and I live in a small town called Ardooie in Belgium ( Europe ). My proper language is dutch, so my english can contain some errors... . I'm 38 years 'young' and I have the American car Virus since I was 12 years old. My father drove more than 20 years a Chevy Malibu and I dreamt since this early years to own a Firebird. It took more than two decades to make this dream come true, but right now I own 2 Firebirds :naughty:
The first one is a 1980 Firebird Esprit which I bought in 2002, the car has to be restored, which is also the actual status of the car ( see my website ).
The other one is a 1991 Firebird with the 3.1 Litre V6 engine. I bought the car for approx $ 1,250.- in 2003 but it needed also some minor bodywork and a new paintjob. Right now I use the Bird for funtrips and also for visiting meetings here in Belgium and the Netherlands.
I made some pics of my 'Blackbird' which I'll add herewith... .

The car is stock and got also new rubber: Cooper Cobra Radial G/T in 205 size

Before discovering your board I was active on a Belgian 'American Car Forum' and also on the German 'Bandit-Online' board.
I think I will pass by here to enlarge my knowledge of the F-bodies and to make contact with F-body enthusiasts.

    Grtz,

    Xavier

                    Yeah!

American cars aren't regulary seen on our roads, and when you drive in the city with this car, there's always a lot of headturning people...

First off, you have a really immaculate and sharp looking 'Bird. And secondly, it's great that you took the time to research the board and join in.
