I'm looking for a Trans Am, but there is a major lack of them in my area! The only way I can buy one is from a dealer. I can't buy one from a private owner. Reason being I have to get rid of my truck to afford a Trans Am (or Formula!), and I can't get anyone to look at my truck. I'm not trying to make money off of my truck, I only want what I owe on it, but no one wants to pay that much.
Grrr, guess I really screwed myself up buying this truck. Everytime I find a dealer with a Trans Am it's never one I would buy. I don't want to be too picky, but I don't want a car I don't REALLY want. For example, I found one a few days ago, a white automatic 96. Not really a fan of white and I don't want an auto, it needs to be a six speed. If it was manual, I would of seriously considered buying it even though the color wasn't what I REALLY want. I'm looking for a navy blue, black, or silver one. There was another one, a red 95 Formula. Not the greatest shape, it had 234,000 miles on it, and it smoked a bit when I started it up. It was pretty ragged out, interior was beat up. It was $4000. All the really nice ones around here that are at the dealers are WELL over $20k which is too much. There's some around here that are in mint condition with only like 5k miles on them and such, I want a car I can drive, not let it sit and collect dust!
I just want like a 96-00 with a few miles on it so the price won't be so god darned expensive. There's just nothing around. Wish I could just sell my truck so I could find a private seller. Anyone else having a hard time finding the car they want? It's starting to piss me off to be honest. Checking the same sites every single day for a car is getting old. I guess it's true that "good things come to he who waits" Wish I hadn't traded my Firebird in for that truck :(
