I checked out alienware's site but they don't have both in a notebook yet. I am looking to grab a nice notebook before I leave for europe but I want a dual core AMD and 2 of nvidia's finest under the hood. I am really looking for a AMD 64 4400, 2 nvidia's 7900 gs's, 2 gb of ram, and a 17" screen. I'll take a core duao processor if they have it in SLI I guess.

Re: anyone making dual core SLI notebooks yet?
thats a lot to ask for in a laptop. It would be cool to see done, but I wouldnt expect that to happen for a while. bat life would be real bad, and it'd be very heavy. Plus probably pretty loud due to the necessary cooling.

I agree if you want that power build you a custom desktop alot cheaper.
I don't even want to know what that would cost in a notebook.1999 Pontiac Trans Am M6 Far from stock.....

Re: anyone making dual core SLI notebooks yet?
well I am going to be sharing a barracks with about 80 other people in kosovo for 18 months, bringing my desktop is kinda out of the question. the notebook isn't going anywhere so battery life is not an issue, but space will be a premium so I will not be taking my current rig. I am looking for what would be classified as a desktop replacement. I don't expect to get 140fps in FEAR or HL2 but I need something that can carry me through those 18 months and can do more than solitaire. hell I just took my rig to 2 weeks at annual training and all I can say is I need a notebook lol.
the only reason no one may have done it yet is because of heat issues. there are SLI notebooks out there but they all have the single core Turion processor. I may have to just suck it up and get a dual core processor and a single graphics card notebook.Last edited by andrew.brandon; 06-30-2006, 12:24 AM.95 Firebird
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/673250
http://photobucket.com/albums/y217/andrewbrandon19/

me on a good day------> linky
