i definitely agree with those people that didnt want France to win.
Damn French beat Brasil back in '98 and '06.
I wasnt really surprised Italy were going to take the cup.. i definitely knew that had potential. That;s probably one of the reasons i didnt like ITALY this year.
I wanted Brasil, Mexico or Argentina to win. WTF happened to Brasil.. they had an awesome team this year.. and what happened to Rivaldo? that guy was good.. i remember backk in '98 and saw Ronaldinho play.. i loved him and knew he had potential.
anyways, this world cup overall was captivating. ITALY and FRANCE in the end fighting to win with just Penalty kicks. 5-3 Italy..
Much better than the last world cup. I think the US is starting to gain a larger interest in it now, I guess as a soccer player, well former, I have always had interest in it but I know the baseball and basketball guys in the family are now into soccer.
You have to wonder what the Italian player said to the French guy to make him head but the guy like that. This particular player (Zedane?) is known to be very calm and professional, and never gets into scraps. I think there might have been some dirty tactics by the Italians there. Wise a** Italians always like to make jabs at other peoples moms and sisters, so it wouldn't surprise me if the Italian player said something really offensive to purposely instigate a response like that. Good he got knocked flat, he actually should have got some of his teeth smashed out. But he and the Italians looked like losers to me after that incident, as I think there was more to it than meets the eye. I don't root for france, but I didn't much care to see Italy win.
