I'm guessing everyone has heard about whats going on in the ever-waxing situation in the middle east. Israel has so far set up a naval blockade, bombed lebanons airport, taken over a military base, and much much more.

This is somewhat scary, i can see this turning into a whole lotta bad, fast. Russia is already siding with Hezbollah guerrillas and of course the US backed Israel saying they are countering terrorism.

WWIII? :tup: :tdown:

I agree with this worrying me a bit. There is enough trouble in teh middle east right now with Iraq and Iran, we don't need another Isreali war on top of that. This might impede our own military withdrawl from Iraq. I dunno.. I'm just gonna keep watching this and see what happens.

It's a whole new era of warfare. Terrorist don't fight fare and they don't wear uniforms. I mean, how in hell do you fight that?

I say stoop to their level and fight dirty. But once USA starts that the whole UN gets on their back and not on terrorist.

As far as Israel. I say good for them. After all that terrorist act of bomding restaurants, buses and buildings they finally got it.

Hamas wants over 1000 terrorist released in exchanged for one 19 yr old Israel soldier. :thumbs down:

Notice, how terrorist goes into hiding once Israel starts flexing.

On side note: N. Korea is really pushing it too and Iran is lying about their intentions with the nuclear program.

I would agree with that, except that this is bringing instability to a region of the world that our economy relies on. Course, our military helped supply Israel too, so I would imagine they might have a slight edge on the rest of the region who are still toting obsolete technology.

This has not been getting any better as the fighting drags on.

I think if theres one thing the world learned from the 1972 munich olympics its NOT to **** with Israel. I think the whole middle east AND russia should just surrender now before they get hurt... and don't forget folks, Israel have nukes too.

i think china is too,probally just for oil and other resources. russia's siding with the whole middle east pretty much, thats old news.

i think north korea is what we have to worry about personally. but this isnt anything good either. i havent been able to watch the news much today, i did a little when i ate lunch but thats it ( had to help put in a new water pump in my dads car, then a starter in my brothers) anything happen sence noon?

Why must the US take sides in all this crap? Actually, I have a better question, WHY THE HELL DO WE GET INVOLVED WITH WORLD AFFAIRS!?!?!? This is getting stupid. The US gets involved and takes sides with EVERY major conflict in the world, when there is no point in it. We have to be the big muscle in the world, we have to use the armament that we have.:rolleyes: What the hell ever happend to FENDING FOR OURSELVES!!?!?!? Are we that dependent on the rest of the world that we MUST get involved every time there is a conflict? And I hope, I HOPE, someone pulls out that "global economy" stuff. We don't need the global economy, we DO NOT need anything from anyone, nor does the US need to lend a helping hand everytime some dirt country on the other side of the world is struggling(*cough* Saudi Arabia *cough*). When was the last time you heard Switzerland getting into trouble or taking sides...NEVER, know why, cause they KEEP TO THEMSELVES!!! You think *MAYBE* that might work for us? Its called isolationism, we practiced it in the middle of the 19th century, until WWI. I seriously think it is about time we start cutting off ties to the majority of the world. All it does is getting us in a pissing match with most of the middle east, N. Korea, Russia, and even parts of Africa.

As for Israel, im pretty sure if they acted up towards us, we could eliminate that part of the eastern Mediterranean pretty easily. As far as I am concerned, Israel should just be incinterated. That little eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea has been nothing but trouble for roughly 2000 years, I don't see why that part of the middle east should even be allowed to carry on. Honestly, I am hoping that there is no WWIII. We dont need that right now.

Here is what i foresee. The US is going to back Israel. Israel keeps saying that Syria and Iran need to "stop playing with fire", referring to themselves as the fire. If Israel attacks either of them, the flood wall is going to break loose and the middle east is going to turn into an even bigger hell hole than it already is.

Loser, since noon? I know Israel bombed Beirut International Airport, taking out the only 3 runways and also hit the fuel supply there. They also dropped phamplets encouraging civilians to get out if possible.
